WCW in 2000 did give us one thing that, to me at least, is incredibly underrated: the Triple Cage. I genuinely think either WWE or AEW need to bring it back one day, with the right talent and booking it could be great. Give me more ridiculously big cage matches in wrestling.
@KamenRiderGumo Жыл бұрын
With the right wrestlers involved it could be amazing. I think it should be AEW that does it, since very few in the WWE could make it work. Maybe do the Blackpool Combat Club vs Christian, Nick Wayne and Luchasaurus.

WCW was actually improving in late 2000 and into 2001. It was from around the middle of the year in 99 until around the middle of 2000 when WCW was a bit of a mess. Things seemed to get a lot better around the time Scott Steiner became world champ, he had a really good run at the end of WCW.

The guys who ran the network hated pro wrestling and that had more to do with WCW's demise than anything. They wanted it gone when it was "good". They wanted it gone when it was profitable. Not really. First of all, the reason why Russo was there in the first place was because that ship was already sinking hard in 1999. Secondly, Ted Turner was no longer in charge anyway, meaning that WCW was left in the hands of people who simply couldn't care less about wrestling and were looking to attract a demographic that wanted nothing to do with wrestling anyway. Still, if Russo hadn't been there, then maybe the WCW name wouldn't have been so toxic, and maybe someone other than Vince would have bought the rights to it.
