It is technically safer to shrink the Airbus A321XKL to Boeing 737 Max configuration; than to stretch the Boeing 737 Max with MCAS.

19-12-2024. To my understanding, only 3- or more jet engines can cross the Atlantic or Pacific Oceans the A321 is a dual jet engines set up???😊

The whole mess that Boeing got into seems to be primarily due to the decisions taken regarding MAX, with cost in mind. The 777x also is in a mess. Obviously, the beneficiary would be AIRBUS.
