My mom ordered me that five pack of games off the tv. I enjoyed those games.

I managed to find a working loose cart of Racquetball out in the wild at a game store for just $1 in 2022! The reflection graphics are a nice touch!

Thank you so much for this video compilation. This was my mom and my uncle’s company. I’m not even halfway in and I’ve already seen one that I totally don’t remember. Appreciate all the work that went into making this vid.

That's really neat. Infiltrate was one of my favorite games on the Atari.

The 2600's graphic on screen remind me of being in 2nd grade and finding a stick and pretending it was a sword while I fought a enemy soldier that was a bush, lotsa imagination needed to visual interpret what you are looking at.

I actually loved Final Approach; very imaginative.

Really cool to see a behind the scenes of a third party Atari 2600 publisher. Especially such an obscure one.

These games look a lot cooler than many of the usual 2600 games

For whatever reason, we bought Space Cavern. The name carried a certain implication of exploration, but of course in those days all you could do is pick a game up and hope. As a kid, I was so crushed by how mediocre the game turned out to be that I sabotaged the cartridge's label. But thinking back on it with a little clarity, it's just a mediocre game by 2600 standards. It was, at least, playable, and offered a theoretical challenge. The problem is that once you've played it for about 15 seconds, you have seen literally everything that it has to offer.

Only played a few of these, but I'll have to correct that as they all look pretty good!

Space chase is pretty remarkable.
@bubbythebear68912 жыл бұрын
I've only played it on an emulator, but it was kinda choppy. Space Cavern looks better in my opinion.

I have no recollection of this brand or any game I have seen yet (50% done) Many look very cool and I assume the had a very small distrobiution?
@thelairdslair2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, they weren't one of the bigger brands.

No....that ad was from the early 80's. I don't even think Walmart sells them now.

I have the games of SPACE CHASE and WABBIT for the Atari 2600 VCS that are both Games By Apollo. I enjoy playing both of them, but the other games that Apollo published which I also have I never much cared for.

LochJaw looks familiar. Was that released under a different name at some point?
@thelairdslair Жыл бұрын
It was later re-released as Shark Attack because of a potential lawsuit over the name similarity to Jaws.

Does anyone know who owns the rights to these games now?
@thelairdslair2 жыл бұрын
I'm not entirely sure, but I suspect Telegames USA do, as ex-members of Apollo formed Sunrise Software when the company went bust. Sunrise then merged with Telegames in the UK to become Telegames USA.

I wasn’t aware of this. Thanks for letting me know
