Loved my big red. Had one in the 80s god I'm old lol. Love my honda 420 and my suzuki vinson 500 the low low of the vinson was amazing for mud and plowing through ish. Just bought a cforce touring and I'm debating making it a mud monster. I'm getting a lil more reserved now and I don't burry my stuff so much anymore. I look forward to seeing more from you. You said 300ex gears are 30 ish percent lower than 350, so would ex gears in a 300 be a 18ish reduction?

Speaking of low geared quads. I had a 1996 Yamaha kodiak 400 with the 5 speed footshift with dual range high low. It literally felt like it could spin anything. Never seen something geared that low. I really wish I had stuck some 29.5s laws on it at the time.

Absolutely. 5-speed plus high and low range is very attractive. Super low gears from the factory. I may build one soon

Are there gears out of another Honda to make the 18% reduction on the big red 250? Reduction boss only has 60% for sale and I don’t want that😂. Working on my 1985 trx 250

Yeah absolutely. It just involves some 300EX gears machined to the big red primary and basket. Cody Scrivener has made all of mine and he's still doing them. You might be able to get a hold of him on Facebook. I've been buying reductions from him for like 20 years

speaking of the 350d. I got one about a year ago now am currently running 28x12.5 OL1's on it however the only problem ive had with it is the fuel pump liking to go out. Have you ever had one go out MudPuppy?

I'd delete the whole fuel tank and just put a gas can on the front rack and use gravity feed

@MudPuppyOffroad so simple I feel dumb for not thinking of it I'll hook something up to see if it works because aftermarket pumps seem to make too much pressure for the needle and float and end up pissing out the carb no matter the adjustment on the float or it dosent get anything at all even after a carb rebuild

@justin_steen it was for me, I put a 500 top end on my 21 420 rancher. Was able to spin 30s a lot easier in thick gooey mud. I don’t trust nitrous on them. Prolly on a can am 1000 xmr
