Excellent video and definitely worth a sub. Bought the bullet about 14 days ago and spent 600 on a pretty decent bike. This is exactly what i was looking for and look forward to more info.

Dude I love the packs. I’m digging the last one. I can see you riding your bike with your cat 🐈⬛ and she wearing a helmet 😂. Thanx for the recommendations. Hope to see more of your ideas.

Awww haha the little helmet would be so adorable! There will be plenty more coming! Stay tuned!

I really like the REI top tube bag. It’s great for snacks on long rides or all the essentials on a normal ride. I also have the salsa top tube bag which is water proof and a bit more sturdy, but harder to get into and zip back up.

I haven't seen the rack bag that has "hidden" panniers. Such a cool idea! That means I need to look into them now. I don't know if that's a good thing 😂 but honestly, thanks!

Haha if it’s useful and gets you outside, then it must be a good thing right? 😅

Good to see you here with REI! I am setting my Surly Bridge Club for hybrid touring, or dirt road and two track, for drifting around the Yellowstone and upper Missouri Basins, and maybe Great Divide areas of WY-MT-SD. So rear panniers like the Ortlieb gravel panniers, Surly Petite Porteur front pack, half frame bag, and loads of water. My shelter and camp kit is from my UL hiking pile so I need about 40L capacity.

Hey thanks for the information! I intend to get into bike packing and this video has given me a lot to think about! Could you do a video or direct me to a previous video where you go over what kind of gear you would recommend putting in those bags for various adventures?

That’s great news! So excited for your first trip! We will do a video in the future about how to pack, but in the meantime here is an older video showing you exactly how I packed for a bikepacking trip! Let me Know if I can help in any other way 😁 kzbin.info/www/bejne/lWG1e4d4rdp8mbs

I use the Arkel Tailrider on my rear rack. It has a bunch of pockets, can carry a ton, is expandable and comes with a built-in rain cover. I just checked out your channel and subscribed - looking forward to some great adventures!

Another great option for touring is to get a pull behind trolley. I love this option because I can just load up my backpack as if I was hiking, and strap it down on the bed of the trolley. I can carry more, and the bike feels a lot more stable without all that weight being so high up. Plus, I can keep my tire pressure where I like it because I'm not putting an extra 20 lbs on the bike - it's on the trolley. It does add some more total weight for climbs, but I've found the added stability makes this kind of an even tradeoff.

@@KevDoes It certainly seems like it! Great job on the presentation! You've certainly inspired me in choosing some bikepacking bags in the past, and I'm glad it's held up. Hey, did some of the editors work on Miranda in the Wild, too?

Ha, nothing wrong! I just enjoy that the style of the editor is evident in both your works - since I enjoy following you both. They've done a great job of connecting your charisma with the REI brand. I'm glad to see a good collaboration!

Hey thank you for the video, is the topeak trunk bag only usable with a topeak rack?
@rei Жыл бұрын
Until a rack adapter is available, yes, you'll need a Topeak rack.

There are various companies making copycat bags that can be used with a standard rack. I used the Rockbros version doing the Cantii Way in May.

What size is the bike in the video? I'm a short biker (5' 0") so getting bags that fit my frame is a huge limiter :\
