I've tried an Ashdown amp a couple of times and I can definitely say they are one of the most slept on bass amp companies on the market. Easily. Edit: I should add that I'm stateside, idk how popular Ashdown is across the pond. I usually don't see people running them around here though. Edit 2: Holy hell I almost forgot, congrats on being Ashdown artist. Well earned!

I have the previous Evo II version of the RM800 - I like the look of the old version better, but the new features are kinda compelling... Mark Gooday was teasing new cabs a couple of months ago, including a new 2x12"... looking forward to seeing those.

I just bought their new Studio mini rig model and I'm very happy with it. For the first 30 minutes of playing it in the store I could've sworn it was a tube amp, from how it responded. I'm 3 gigs in with it and the only thing that's bugging me is that theim tweeter on the cabinet can't be turned off. It really doesn't like my distortion pedals

I really liked the notched controls on my ABM 600 - they feel premium. It became an ongoing problem when I needed to get to a volume level that was between the notches. Then they were really annoying. No such issues with my Digbeth head and it was one of my reasons for replacing the ABM.

@@craigmoran893 Not entirely, but it did influence my decision. It was a problem at rehersals and gigs. I also wanted to use the shape button to get the real low lows, but it also left me with some quite shrill highs that I couldn't EQ out with the other controls. Plus the Digbeth looks cooler.

Before I watch, my guess is that said feature is the built-in Octave effect 😀 At least that's something the Ashdown rig I had once owned myself had had onboard and as the only one of all my amps 🙂 *PS:* I guess I was wrong and it was actually the Amp Sim' feature on the D.I. Out 😅

​@@JonnyDibble - Sure is! I would've preferred Overdrive over Sub-harmonics on the amp I had, though! Which was a MAG-300 EVO III together with 2x10" speakers as a combo plus an extra 1x15" cabinet. And at the time of buying this rig (in 2010), Ashdown had stopped producing the MAG series, and the local (to Wellington, NZ) Ashdown dealer was selling it heavily discounted. I also had a Boss ME50B multi-effects pedal, so I hadn't really needed either Overdrive or Octaver effects from the actual amp, but it would've still been nice on several occasions to not also have to schlepp that pedal around with me 😅 The Overdrive one you presented at the end sounded great, by the way! 🤩 Definitely better than the effect in the amp! But I also think the latter would sound cool on full Gain and with a touch of Chorus to simulate a synth bass! 🙂

@@ileutur6863 sorry, I can only imagine the work that goes into making these videos. They’re quite enjoyable, but I’m getting tired of ads that are pretending to be reviews. I don’t trust anything on here anymore and it basically removes the point of even watching it, it’s like watching television, but without the show, only the adsI’m not singling you out I mean KZbin as a whole. It started with basstheworld. How could you be doing actual reviews if you never say anything bad about anything. Everything is the greatest thing ever.
