i’ve been a drummer for a good while and i’m thinking about trying to play bass, do you think a donner p bass might be a good idea?

Am i the only one getting horrible buzzing noises on some of the cab sims (when i play the 12th fret on the E string for example)? If anyone else has this issue pls help...
ANY of these basses is fine for a beginner. Best advice would be: take any of these to someone who can make sure it's set up for you- if it is comfortable to the student, its the right bass.

I know Vintage are trying to go their own way (for once) but offset horns just don't look right on a semi acoustic. As for the 3 point bridge which everybody seems to complain about, what's the problem with it?
@JonnyDibbleКүн бұрын
@@kingstumble the 3 point bridge means you can’t accurately set the action of each string like normal saddles. The entire bridge pivots instead

I've got a 1977 Fender Mustang bass , left handed with the Antigua finish. Bought it used around 1982. I had it modified with a Bass Ass bridge, a Dimarzio Jazz pickup near the bridge and and a Dimarzio "mudbucker" looking thing in the front. A split tone control was added also. Although I now had a hotter bass with more tonal versatility, I was kicking myself. From the guy who did the work, He discovers through Fender / serial number that this was a custom order one of a kind bass in 1977 AFTER he did the modifications. It is a hot sounding little bass though, and if you're doing many sets a night, your shoulders will thank you later.

No way I'd pay that much for this bass when there are hundreds of better options out there, if it's $1200 in your county, then it's probably near 2k in Australian dollars.

I've had my 734a for some 4 months already and it's replaced everything else as my main axe. I wanted a well built, reliable bass and it has it in spades. I like the preamp! But your opinion is very interesting and I understand someone thinking as you do. It's not the bass with the most distinctive personality, soundwise. Not a problem with me.

Yeah, the "mudbucker" style pickup sounds deliciously good, but.. WIAT, THAT F**@1N' bridge 😬?! ...nope, that bridge was the reason because I switched from a Gibson/Epiphone to a Tokai (China) Thunderbird: the second has the Fender-style bridge, and sounds great too! A great demo, but actually awful conclusions. You dont mention the ability to load your own wav IRs, which according to the manual is utterly trivial, just name it with the slot number at the start and delete the old IR with that number. Your review conclusions only review the included IRs, which are literally worthless. You can grab hundreds of better ones free off tonehunt, and hundreds of other places. To not compare the same IR on this pedal and on an IR loader in your PC is an utter fail. To not review whether its easier to use this or just use your PC. What a waste of talent and opportunity. This could have been a truly epic review with your ability.
@JonnyDibble6 күн бұрын
Hi! Thanks for your feedback 😊 At 2:22 I mention ability to load your own IRs. Could’ve maybe compared the stock ones to some custom ones perhaps!
@mycosys6 күн бұрын
@@JonnyDibble The included IRs literally have no worth. What you pay for is the hardware - you didnt review that at all. 2:22 isnt part of your conclusions. You failed yourself here as much as anyone else - you can clearly do better

Hi Jonny. I’m looking at getting a P bass but as a leftie it’s a bit more challenging. Squier don’t even offer a left handed P bass anymore! Right now it’s between the Harley Benton MV-4P and the Sire P5. I have’t seen any reviews of the MV-4P yet, (non gotoh, non- PJ version) So if you’re stuck for an idea for a video, it would be great if you could review the Harley Benton MV 4P! Keep up the excellent work!

I bought a G&L M2000 10 years ago. Over time I sold my other basses and never needed to buy more basses because the M2000 literally fit every gig and band I played in. I am breaking my decade long celibacy of buying basses just to get another G&L as a back up to my main. Straight up the most reliable and versatile bass ever. It really is just the best parts of a jazz bass and a stingray. Plus they don't go for crazy price (for now).
