Glad your feeling better. I'm one of those people who can't stand Cilantro. I grew some two years ago because my daughters boyfriend moved in with us and loves Cilantro. The smell and taste of soap growing in the garden drove me crazy. I had to just pull it all out and gave it to the chickens.

@@SageandStoneHomestead Another crazy thing is DMSO. It is a topical anti-inflammatory. We used it on our horses. Some people are fine with it and other people have to wear gloves to apply it. What it does to some people is it immediately makes your mouth taste kinda like dirty gym socks! 💜👍💜

@@SageandStoneHomestead It was a 4'x10' Fine mesh barrier pest netting i found on amazon was relatively inexpensive bout 8 dollars for that. an they have multiple sizes. Hope you find something that helps!

You might try growing poblano peppers. Common in Mexican food, you roast and peel the skins off and add them to pretty much anything. I love them in enchiladas and in my salsas. The have a very good distinct taste

My Nana would just keep her bacon fat on her counter, as a matter of fact, so did my Mama. They both used those aluminum containers that say "GREASE" on them. Of course, back in those days that bacon grease was used for everything and didn't sit for very long. It would sit for days, though. 😊 We never got sick from it. It's crazy thinking back. ❤❤

Haven't had the finances to invest in a steam canner, but after a lot of research found out I can use my pressure canner to do the same thing! I'm loving the results; so much quicker & not using & moving all that water is a huge benefit!! Truly a blessing!

Back again! Not sure what you do with this salsa but an easy meal is shredded chicken tacos. You just shred some chicken and sauté the sauce and chicken together in a frying pan. Then use as tacos meat with whatever toppings you usually like. Cabbage is usually a good choice for the toppings.

Hey Heather, do you have a link to that tool you used to get the lid off the whey? I have arthritis in my hands, really bad, and have a hard time getting lids off of jars. I have some other gadgets that I've tried but the one you have looks like it would be much easier to use. It reminds me of an oil filter wrench I used to use in my Jiffy Lube days...lol! That was way back in the late 80's.

You can vacuum seal your jars as many times as you want, using the same lid. No need to wait until full.

@@SageandStoneHomestead cool idea! Sewing fur is kinda wonky. I’ve used fake fur but I’m sure really fur is more difficult. The edges are difficult because you have to keep moving the fur back towards the front to keep it out of the seam.

This really depends! If you’re going to break rules it is important to know why you’re breaking them so you can determine if it makes sense. Weather or not to pressure can would depend on a few factors and timing and density of the food play into that.
