I was purging my own collection and realized that many of the unhauls would totally benefit my local library! (whether it be duplicates of books i already have or books i wasnt a huge fan of and will most likely not read again) Especially more popular current reads. There may be so many copies in the system (my states libraries are all connected to where they will send books to each other if I person requests it) but if even ONE more copy is in circulation that makes it so even just a few more people are able to read it before they would have been able to before. And we like to encourage reading around here 😊

Books with Bridgerton vibes and mostly all POC cast is the Du Bell series by J.J. McAvoy. I’ve read all three books and rated them 4-5 stars each. Highly highly recommend!

The Body Keeps the Score is a staple in psychology. It talks about healing trauma. It has nothing to do with religion. And Dr. Vander Kolk (the author) is highly regarded in the mental health field.

For Cassandra Clare, I recommend starting with infernal devices. It is well loved and it’s what I started with. It’s an amazing series! Then you can go into The Last Hours.

Also, I don’t know if other states have them, but if you have Second & Charles stores in Dallas, you can sell them any books you don’t want! They’ll buy them back to sell in their stores.

if you like romance books where they meet up once a year, you might like “this summer will be different” by carley fortune! it’s her newest book and i personally loved it! it does have a bit of spice in it though

I highly recommend Tessa Dare for historical regency romances, she has lots of options. Her books are fun, humorous and have different spice levels.

Read “I’m a Fan” because some passages are so beautiful and her commentary is SHARP. Don’t think you will like the book’s content as a Christian though. “Notes on an Execution” was a 6 ⭐️ for me, but it can be dark.

The body keeps score is just a scientific book about how the body holds trauma, but in saying that it is very detailed, and the author was also either convicted or accused of sexually assaulting I believe his students
@katelynnculmore5 ай бұрын
I also think it is held at a high praise, but there are other works that touch on the subject better and more sensitively in my opinion
