Another month gone - the year is going too fast! I'm already thinking about the end of year best of videos. Maybe some books from August will make the cut. Who knows? Anyway, hope you all had a good reading month - don't forget to tell me your favourites for the month.

August already seems like a distant memory. It is going ridiculously fast. A good month for you. I'm trying to make a real effort now to get some books read from my shelves and to buy less. Not easy. I enjoyed this video.

That's such a good plan to read from your own shelves. I'd planned to do more of that this year and I've failed miserably. I think I've read maybe 6 to 10 books only from my shelves. It's something I need to improve on. But our library service has so many books I want to read. It makes it difficult to be disciplined.

I really liked Hunting Party - I think I liked it more than Guest List, to be honest. The Infernal Devices books are my faves - I like anything in London.

Did you read The Hunting Party first? They are quite similar in some ways, so I wonder if part of it is the first book of the two you read?

@@TheHonestBookReviewer I did - my issue with The Guest List is I thought it would be like And Then There Were None so I was just disappointed. I like her, though. Paris Apartment is my fave.

Oh, I won't mention what I thought of The Paris Apartment.

@@TheHonestBookReviewer It’s not necessarily a mystery but the topic is just something I tend to read.

Are you enjoying the Simon Brett books?

I have to confess I've not started them yet. I ruined my own plans for that because of too many library books that other people placed on reserve. But they are still in my plans to start.

Okay, so I have now read the first book. I enjoyed it. It does mean I'm now forced to read another series. I shudder to think about how many series I'm currently reading.
