I don't understand the reviews on Lucian and Sloanes book! I had a very different reading experience than what I'm hearing. My friend and I buddy read it and we LOVED every single minute of it!!! It gave me the tingles all the way through,, their banter is TOP tier ! It was an easy 5 stars for me !

I have heard SO MANY book tubers say Sept. was a horrible month for them. It was for me also. I messed up my Book Journal by filling in the basics and THEN, not finishing 3! books! Ugh! I have a rule for myself and stick to it. "If I can't get into the book in the first 30 or so pgs., I dnf. There are way too many good books out there waiting to be read. I don't feel guilty and neither should anyone else. Good for both of you! 🤗

Strange the dreamer is one of my favessss BUT totally understand why you chose to DNF cause it is def very flowery and you got to be in the mood for that (even then the writing isn't for everyone). And stephen king always puts me in a reading slump😂

Yes!!! I do want to finish it eventually though 😭

I also felt that I had a 'meh' September even though I actually had a couple 5 star reads! Something about the reading this month was just off - was mercury in retrograde or something?? LOL. Favorite read was definitely Beyond the Wand by Tom Felton - the audiobook was AMAZING and Tom reading it himself definitely made it memorable! And on the note of DNFs - there are so many books out there! Not worth reading a book you aren't enjoying - good for you putting those down!

I'm so sad that you didn't like Divine Rivals more 😭😭That's probably going to be my favorite book of the year. The writing was so gorgeous and Ross really hit the nail on the head when talking about loneliness and grief and believing in good things despite the pain in the unknown. Idk but it really touched my soul and made me feel seen and maybe gave me hope or something corny like that.

Although it was not a good month of reading, you guys still managed to read some books and I love that for u!! I love dnf books because it should not be punishable, there is no obligation to read, but to enjoy them, I believe that we should take off that pressure of finishing books out of obligation it will end up disappointing us and putting us in a reading slump

You both have the most amazing hair!! 😍 also, I just read’Just Another Missing Person’ and it wasn’t my favourite. It was quite boring for a thriller in my opinion

Kate Alice Marshall YA stuff is really good as well. I read These Fleeting Shadows earlier this year and it started me wanting to read all her books. My favorite book of September was From Below by Darcy Coates.

ANNIHILATION: I always tell people, with regards to the adaptation... its like someone gave an author and a director some cue cards: "a weird area of fantastical mutation", "a group of women", "a tower and a clone" and then that was ALL the direction they were given and were set free. lol. anything in common feels almost accidental they're so different.

September wasn’t a bad reading month for me, it was just slow. I read 5 books over 500pgs, so that definitely slowed me down😅
@eliotopian Жыл бұрын
DNFing: just makes way for books that yer clicking with at the time. no need to push thru a book that feels 3 stars blah basic IT WAS FIIIINE... when you could pick up a book that yer like OMG THIS IS AMAZING at chapter 1. ya know???

10:48 same though, it took much more time to complete the second part than the first part. I hope the second book would be better. I haven’t been able to get into Six Of Crows too, I have tried reading it so many times but every time I am never into it😭 I have completed Tender is the Flesh and it feels wrong to rate it as it almost feel like someone’s memoir; not because of the writing style but rather due to the plot. Lauren has said before that you do not believe that we would get into such a state if animals get infected like that but unfortunately I think we will. I am a recently turned vegetarian and I get questions like how can you give up so & so and it is so dumb cause I am an Indian and we have such a variety of tasty vegetarian as well as vegan options (especially considering the part of India I am from). I didn’t saw the ending ahead and I fell like it emphasized more about how cruel or selfish humans could become. It was hard to get through it because of the descriptions but the whole read was worth. (I started it nearly at the end of September)

Hi, congratulations on your video! This summer, I read four thriller books, but the one I liked the most was "Motion Detection," which I stumbled upon on Amz. It's a fantastic book. But I don't understand why nobody talks about it. Have you read it? I highly recommend it!

It's better to stop reading a book wnen you just aren't that into it at the moment, for any reason, than to force yourself to finish it. That would take out the fun out of reading
