with gaia, do you recommend following these builds, just easier since you have more forgiving force drops because of e.g. always have great wood, cheaper eco ups & fishing ships. or do you go for cheekier builds with archaic eco upgrades/town centers?

second strad where villager shoot giraff towrad TC is uneccessary tbh because by the time you walk over and do their things the second villager is only only a second away.

I believe that that build is bad. Much much better to do 430 then drop the TC while advancing. I have a video coming of that soon.

Being a new player these videos are really helpful, but the rule seems to be 'never stop producing villagers' but when I leave the auto queue on the town center I always end up with no food and population cap left for a decent army, is there like a set number of villages you need per resource like 5 on each or something?

This comment is old, but if you see this, no, never stop building villagers until you have around 60-70, at that point you can start concentrating on army alone

You must not be building houses. House + TC is 120 pop. 2 TC is 140 pop. 25 citizens is 75 pop. 1TC making 1 villager every 35seconds, means it takes almost 15min to make 25 villagers. By then you should have hit Heroic and obtained ~3TC. So, you'd have civilian pop of 75, and Total pop of 160. Shouldn't be a major issue. ~ The only minor caveat is that Citizen Heroes have a cap of 10, and are counted separately from normal citizens. Creating a technical cap of 35. You may need to manually disable villager looping if you have too many hero citizens.

You can't even form a normal English sentence, why should anyone try to figure out what stupid thing you just said? The other civs are better once you master them in almost every way. You'd have to be mentally impaired to think 'simpler gathering' and 'putting a granary' is some kind of cheat, like some 10 yr old brain that doesn't understand anything.

Chinese is a horribly designed civ and it does (thankfully) not exist on Voobly
