Ward is my QB1. Those 2 INTs were bad but he is a fighter and fought to the win, and he is a humble guy, knows he needs to be better and not turn it over like he did. He has the makings of greatness and the Giants can not miss it!

VT was able to get some pressure on Cam which obviously took some of the timing off of Cams throws and he still threw for almost 350 and 4 TDs and ran for 57 and another TD. The fiy is a legit baller and has some weaoons around him. If the defense would learn to tackle and got a little more pressure in their offense, the game would have never been so close. When Cam threw that 1st INT, the game changed right there.

Any GIANTS fan that calls this guy a diva and doesnt want him on this team is 10000000% delusional. This dude has the peotential to be special in the NFL. This was his worse game in about 2 years, and he overcame it with 400 total yds and 5tds. Id love to see him in GIANTS blue next season.

Very talented QB. Really nice arm and can make all the throws. Tries to make flashy plays when sometimes taking boring stuff from defense is better. Mobility is a plus. Pocket presence is a big strength. Anticipation is average, which is why INTs occurred. Overall, best QB I have seen in this draft class so far.

This game took some of the shine off him for me. Was pushing double digit turnover worthy plays, short throw accuracy outside numbers bad, missed a deep one when WR had corner beat. I didn't like he was immediately taking off vs blitz. He did make some real nice throws with touch. And some other crazy plays where he was superior athlete. He's got the tools but needs a lot more polish. Looking forward to the rest of his games, I don't see a day 1 starter in the NFL at this point.

Few do that consistently which is what’s needed to be a solid qb at the next level. Scramble plays are cool and all but not a winning formula unless you an anonamly like Pat mahoomes. Casual football fans will argue against this basic football who go by numbers and fantasy football lens but it’s a reason why qb play is poor in the nfl and the worse it ever been. Too many of these athletic qbs come out with the splash play but suck at basic qb play .

Good comment bro. Dont worry. You or understood by those who know the game. Again things such as running off at the first sign of color and pressure and not getting the ball out with timing is one of the few reasons qb play is so bad in the NFL. Even the top qbs like mahomes or struggling as the nfl defenses are taking away big plays and forcing qbs to take what yhe underneath routes and read progressions. Something they struggle with unless it’s schemed. Most qbs are one read qbs and can’t read a defense. Pat said it took him till year 3 or 4 to learn to read coverages which is insane but shows you how rule changes have watered the game down. The game is easier for QBs and offenses yet they still struggle. It’s QBs coming out like this that explain why. And coaching.

Btw I think jones is playing well now that he has an o line and played well last game minus the deep throws he missed. But I don’t think the giants will need a qb as this is the year I think he finally puts it all together. Also not surprised by Nabers. I said he is the new Odell after watching him in training camp and pre season. Funny enough jones is similar to Eli manning. Very inconsistent but shows solid traits. All he needs is elis clutchness. He’s like Eli a guy whose numbers won’t pop out but when you watch him u see he’s better than his numbers. Unfortunately he’s not a qb that can carry teams but needs everything around him to be ok. But that’s cool there aren’t more than 8 qbs in the league who can carry teams and play well when their o line, wide receivers and other variables aren’t playing well

He is not an NFL 1st rd pick, he showed touch on a few short verticals, but his arm strenght will leave him exposed. He does work hard and has a lot of great qualities, so he is draftable later.

@AwthentikandTheBeard No, I watch every throw every NFL QB, I was happy he stayed in school. I have a lot of questions about his future. Notice how he goes from pass to run without keeping his head downfield. He made 2 NFL level touch throws in this game, that's it. He isnt following progressions, if the initial play is over the play is over. Lots to work on. I can tell you he works hard , which is a huge plus. I'm not drafting him with a high pick.

Your remarks sound like you haven’t watched a lot of cam. He normally keeps his head up field but this game, they took away a lot of his options and he focused on tucking and going. Also, if you’ve watched him arm strength was never in doubt at Washington State

I called Zach Wilson undrsftable, I also called Bo Nix undraftable. I spend a lot of time on the position. I will look at every play from this year from every QB. I'm not touching Ewers do far.
