There's an argument to be made that McLaurin isn't even top 3 in his division
@DEILLANYG34 минут бұрын
Jefferson, Chase, Hill, AJ Brown, Nico Collins, CD, M. Evans, DJ Moore with better QB play, davonta Smith is a better route runner, Addison may be better than Terry, Pickens could be and if Higgins could stay healthy he may be also. Nabers will definitely be better and eventually Marvin Harrison Jr will be as well

I might be the only one but Joe Milton might be that dude. Tremendous potential. Just really raw. Id take a chance on him. Giants should have drafted him. Josh Allen like. But with bigger upside if he is coached hard and the right way

Physical specimen. But if you watch his tape from Tennessee his he wildly inconsistent and inaccurate on short and medium throws. I wanna say when Joe Milton was at Michigan he played vs Michael Penix when Penix was at Indiana. Both played well I think too. I wonder what the Patriots plans are now that they’ll have a new coach.

Maclaurin is very reliable, drama free, has had about thirty QBs to play with and has a perfect mindset. I know that's not stats, but a shit team couldn't hope for a better WR than him. Doesn't matter how bad it gets, he's not going to say a negative word about anybody. So for the Giants to hook up with drama queens like OBJ and Nabers while sucking amazingly is like a dude who used to be rich, but has since been fired, gone broke and whose hairline is going bad trying to find a trophy. Go get a job first, you bum! You need someone homely, like Terry Maclaurin. Always know who you are. Sure, his tits aren't the biggest, but he cooks and cleans and doesn't start loud arguments in front of visiting neighbors and relatives. We're definitely happily married over here. We could use a sidepiece, though. Maybe we'll find one in the draft. Anyways: top one homely wide receiver in the NFL!
@AwthentikandTheBeard5 күн бұрын
All that is nice and neat but McLaurin is not top 10 😂
@didgruntleddansnyderfan4 күн бұрын
@@AwthentikandTheBeard Not statistically, no. But, like I said, look at who has been throwing him the ball, and look at his teams. There's context. It's been just him for years now, and if you bracket him out of the game you beat Washington. Now he at least has a QB and is #2 in the NFL in receiving TDs after Chase. I think if we get a second guy to take some of the attention off Terry his stats will probably go up. He's just very underrated.
@AwthentikandTheBeard6 сағат бұрын
He’s properly rated. A bad QB doesn’t make it impossible to evaluate a WR. Malik Nabers had 4 bums throwing him the ball this year. We all know what he is. Terry is a really good WR but he’s not top 5/10 by any measurement
@didgruntleddansnyderfan4 сағат бұрын
@@AwthentikandTheBeard Again, you're ignoring intangibles. He's drama free. Nabers is the exact opposite of drama free. I'd take Maclaurin any day over Nabers. And over Beckham. His first year with a good QB situation he's caught the second most TDs in the NFL, far ahead of drama queen Nabers. And he could easily have caight several more and be level with Jamar Chase. Is he a top 10 WR? I just have absolutely no idea what you're basing this evaluation on at all.
@AwthentikandTheBeard4 сағат бұрын
@didgruntleddansnyderfan you’re assuming I’m ignoring intangibles but a “good guy” doesn’t supersede talent. Beckham was on a whole different planet than McLaurin but to each his own. Terry is not a top 10 wr though

I couldn’t agree more. These QBs in the draft are overrated
@khawarsiddiqui3416 күн бұрын
This debate is getting old, tired and frankly we have bigger fish to cook. If you wish the Giants would draft a QB with a specific racial background with a very high first round pick because that holds intrinsic value to you as a person; just say so, just like that. It’s perfectly fine to feel that way. No issue there. Not cool to stomp your feet on the ground like a middle schooler and hurl unfounded accusations that make no sense and cannot be proven because you imagine so and so did not do so and so for so and so. Grow up, stand tall like a man and say I want my team that I fan for or represents my city to draft this person because doing so would mean something to me that goes beyond football.
@AwthentikandTheBeard6 күн бұрын
Who is this directed towards? I think the bigger issue for some is they think the Giants are avoiding the most talented players because they aren’t the character the Giants want.
@khawarsiddiqui3416 күн бұрын
You made your position clear so they do not apply to you. It was directed at those that keep insisting on this narrative even when you sat down, pulled out the receipts and thoroughly explained your personal position on this subject which I agree with.

On the sensitive point of Mara racism. I don’t think he is a racist. I think he is just incompetent. I was pounding the table for Lamar back in the recent day. But we didn’t do it. But remember, we tried like hell to get Daniel’s. But then I’m a 73 year old white guy. I believe if they, now or in the future, get a shot at franchise black quarterback. They will take it.

BTW, about this "black quarterback" nonsense, no one except racist black people have cared about that since the 1970s. 80s at the latest. The Giants have simply not been in a spot to draft a black QB other than Dwayne Haskins. Give me a damn name! Is it Bo Nix? You really gotta invent imaginary racism to explain that one, given how inept Giants management is? Just look in a damn mirror and you'll find all the racism you're looking for. Football fans just want to win. They don't care if the QB is green with purple dots. Only racists care. And those come in every color. If all you can think about is people's skin color, you're the racist, even if you're black. That's just how simple it is.

BTW, Americans have a blind spot to how poorly organized their sports are. IMO the only way to make it fair is to neither use the NFL sports communism that incentivizes tanking or a random lottery. It is relegation. Problem with that now is it's a lot of work, and you'd basically need 32 American cities to stick the expansion teams in to start off the lower league. But if you had that, and I guess 32 billionaire doofus owners to mismanage them, you could easily relegate the eight teams that finish fourth in their division and promote the eight teams that win their lower divisions and give them the top eight picks in the draft. Now you're promoting parity and incentivizing winning at the same time. I guess it's just too set now after half a century, but I don't understand why something like this wasn't done at the start back in the 60s. Do it right away and everyone gets used to that and wouldn't think anything of it. Then again when you look at some of the absolute characters involved in the NFL early on I suppose it makes sense. The Chargers owner sent all his players to a steroid camp in the middle of the desert one year. Doping wasn't illegal yet, but those are the sort of people you can thank for the draft system. If they could have sown some extra limbs onto their players and gained a competitive advantage, they would have.
@didgruntleddansnyderfan7 күн бұрын
BTW, 2024 wasn't just the right year to tank. It was the easiest year ever to tank. Redskins got Daniels at 4-13, which would put you outside the top ten this season. Even the Giants had the chance to draft either Penix, Nix or McCarthy. So they did tank sufficiently to get their franchise QB. They just passed it up three times in a row because "they already had a franchise QB", remember? Not sure how high up the 2024 draft that stupidity would have lasted, but I'm not actually convinced the Giants would have drafted Maye, Daniels or Wiliams even if they had had the option. So the incompetence here is not just in failing to tank. it is in the record-breakingly rotten self evaluation, QB evaluation and talent evaluation. It was right there! Just pick it up! All the Giants can do is notice cosmic WR and RB talent at the top of the draft so they can throw a wet blanket over it for the next half decade by drafting it. Just as long as they don't go to the Eagles! But no, let's instead draft Quinn Evers after somehow being even worse the following season... Sane Giants fans gotta be on bridge-raiiling watch right about now like Tony Scott. I have never seen this level of obvious ineptitude in my life, so let's obviously bring the band together again for next season! Giants are just something else, man...
@AwthentikandTheBeard7 күн бұрын
Yo man, love this comment. The part about only being able to draft top end talent at RB and QB is so spot on. We’re in a bad place

I know the Giants aren’t going to draft a RB early but I would love to get the ASU RB. Looks like a stud.
@didgruntleddansnyderfan7 күн бұрын
This is why you need to commit to the tank. Fire the head coach on the same day as you exile your franchise backup QB, and make sure Mara himself is your backup left tackle in week 16. Maybe all his inbred relatives in the front office can even play QB and receiver? Either way you make sure!

@ the difference now is we finally have stability in our GM & HC positions. Meaning now we draft players and they stay in our system for more than just 1-2 yrs. Instead of changing management and releasing players from the old regime. We’ve been developing players for years and it’s paying off ex: JOK, grant Delpit, Greg Newsome, dawand jones, David njoku, Cedric Tillman, Jerome ford, Ronnie Hickman, Cameron Mitchell etc. Ik you was probably trynna be an asshole but I don’t argue on the internet so here’s the real answer to your question.
