My personal ranking: 1. Race O Rama (best) 2. Cars The Video Game 3. Mater National 4. Cars 3 Driven To Win 5. Cars 2 The Video Game Race O Rama being best might be nostalgia as it was one of the first Wii games I ever played and that's already a console that means the world to me! I also thought the story and the comedy were great especially cause they brought Chick Hicks Back! I also really like how they made McQueen more cocky as he felt too nice in Mater National and the way you control the Car in that game is just perfection! I love Cars The Video Game as it felt like out off all the games, you get to spend the most time interacting with the characters you fell in love with in the original but the actual gameplay holds it back a little as the tracks aren't as good as they are in future titles! I also love how Radiator Springs looks at night! Cars Mater National has more fun tracks than Cars The Video Game but lacks in story. I don't think the new characters they introduced aren't that interesting especially compared to the new characters in Race O Rama and it wasn't as funny as Cars The Video Game and Race O Rama. Cars 3 and Cars 2 to me are basically just the same game but I prefer Cars 3 just cause I think the stunt racing is the best mode out of both games! I also prefer the story in Cars 3 as there are actual bosses! But great video, there were alot more Cars games than what I knew about!

Here's a little story: I had the Cars Demo since I was 3 in 2011, and I had it until 10 years later that the Full Cars game is free for download on the Xbox 360. was happy that I got to play it for the first time. So I give it a 8.6/10

Pretty solid list except for that fact you put Cars 2 over Cars 1 game so here is mine list of all Cars game I played (PC, Console, Mobile and Flash games) : [S] Cars TVG (PC and PS2) [A] Race-O-Rama (PS3) [B] Mater-National Championship (PC), Fast as Lightning, Lightning Mcqueen Desert Dash, Tractor Tipping [C] Doc Hudson Time Trial [D] Cars 2 (PC), Radiator Springs Adventure Only why I'm putting Cars 2 this low is because the PC that was ported from Wii and it was even worse then Wii. No cutscenes, audio doesn't work right, No dlc's and the visuals just suck ass and I don't have great time playing it even as child. I probably played more Cars games (mainly Flash) but I can't remember that

1 Cars 3 best track design and racing mechanics 2 cars 1 perfect follow up from the movie 3 Race o rama incredible game but I hate the Guido kart races 4 mater national nostalgic but repetitive 5 Cars 2 lack of story

For me I would make some changes. I would put the home console version of Cars and also the DS version of Cars Maternational into KACHOW because they're everything to me. I would put the home console version of Cars 2 down to A because I like it a lot but not as much as the Cars 1 home console and Cars Maternational DS version. And last but not least I would put the DS version of Cars 2 up to B because it's not that bad. It has some flaws and other Cars games are better but it's still good. And that's it for me. The rest of the games which I don't mention in my comments stay like they are in the video.

1:19 firebrand is mainly a ds developer Cars 2 on the wii/pc would have been a better choice for the psp Not the firebrand ds/3ds game

Cars 2: The Video Game is actually much better than the movie. That was a first for Pixar, but this game looked pretty rad. However, I really missed the open-world, Need for Speed/Daytona USA-inspired gameplay of the very first Cars game. We get so many licensed movie racing games that are just Mario Kart with a different coat of paint, so it was great to see a licensed movie racing game that played like an arcade racing game instead of a mascot kart racer. Also, the game's noticeably slower-paced than the 1st title. It felt like I was going at 15 MPH instead of 150 MPH. Big thumbs down there. With that said, I'll give Cars 2: The Video Game credit for being much more challenging than the 1st game. The 1st game was comically easy. Aside from random moments of rubber-banding on one of the NASCAR oval tracks, Cars: The Video Game is piss easy. I'd get amused every time I lapped another car. I understand that it's a racing game geared towards children ages 4-7, but, at that age, I could handle games like Need for Speed, Gran Turismo, Sega GT, Outrun, Ridge Racer, Daytona USA, and Burnout titles. There's no reason for the Cars game to be so much easier than the competition. Kids aren't afraid of challenging games. That aside, these Cars games are rare cases of licensed games that are actually reasonably well-made, at least if we're talking about the ones based on the movies.

Hit the nail on the head. Cars 2 being just another Kart Racer is why it's below Cars 1 for me cause it doesn't make the game feel special compared to its predecessor and like you've said several IPs do the Mario Kart trend. That said I like the variety of playable characters compared to the previous games Too bad the PC port is awful and only passable if you use mods

People just can't accept that cars 2 is the most polished cars game ever made. Yeah other cars games might have open world but world is empty , the games are more childish and broken compared to Cars 2 which doesn't have atrocious render distance , bugs and other glitches. It plays perfectly , its fun , lots of replayability and it graphically holds up really well especially for a kart racer. + 4 people can play it CO-OP throughout the whole story. Cars 2 just totally separates itself from other games even compared to cars 3 which lost the coolness that cars 2 had and many many other things. More game modes doesn't make up for the lackluster experience.

wow this tierlist is copium... I know trying to be different here is the key but Cars 2 is not the greatest Cars game. Just bcuz it's a good karting game doesn't make it a good **Cars** game. Cars games are unique in that way cuz the main point of them was to provide similar to movie experience to a player and that's why they're not trying to be something they not are. That's why I believe Cars the videogame is the best Cars game. It's a definition of Cars game with how it introduces new characters, provides story and etc. That's what MN and Race-O-Rama tried to be but only 1 failed. Cars 2 has nothing like this. It's just a gameplay game with no story which is the opposite of being a Cars game

I mean to be fair the movie it was based off was off the rails aswell! It would've been cool if Cars 3 Driven 2 Win was more like the first Cars game than Cars 2 though

@@ashleyanimatessstuffYeah, Cars 2 being linear is excusable since that was about the crew travelling as well as the whole espionage stuff but Cars 3 goes back to basics so I think a more fleshed out version of what Cars 1 did would've fit better Plus it's not like Avalanche Software were new to open worlds. I thought the Cars section of Disney Infinity was decent so they could've just built on that especially since Disney Infinity Cars was basically Cars 2 Mario Kart style gameplay in an open world

I respectfully disagree with Cars 2 being so high. I didn't like how it barely had a story and zero free roam I personally liked Mario Kart Wii better than it as well. It also felt slower to me, that might have been because the courses weren't as tight in it. That said that game came out when I was 16 so that's probably why I could never get into it, the first came out when I was 10 and I loved it.

TBF I don't think they could've done a free roam since most of Cars 2 involved the cast travelling about. You're definitely right about the story though, the lack of it makes the game feel aimless. The DS version despite being jank at least attempted to have a story. Cars 1 may not have the most tight racing mechanics or emotionally gripping story but it stood out to me because you got to explore Radiator Springs making you feel like you were in the world of that franchise. It's no Rockstar levels of polish and detail but it stood out to me as a Disney tie-in and racing game because of that cause back then there weren't a lot of open world racing titles (Most were linear) But Cars 2 going with the Kart Racing gameplay feels safe since everyone and their mother makes a Kart Racer for their IP (Even franchises that aren't known for racing like Ben 10 and Garfield). Sure, it fits with the movie having a focus on weapons and espionage and sure they couldn't have done the open world since it wouldn't work but I wish they took bigger swings like the first game
