Best Mario kart ever , because 1) having two characters in one gives a whole world of new animations that add to the experience (and mechanics like hanging onto the kart for life when they’ve been blown up) 2) when you’re hit by an item like a banana or shell , you don’t lose ALL of your momentum , you can quickly recover and it feels dynamic (in other Mario karts when you get hit you can’t move for like two seconds I find that so annoying) 3) every character has their own specials , which makes for me makes them much more unique , instead of everyone having everything 4) physics were more free. For example if you were hit by a star , you could go flying far away , fall off the map , do somersaults in the air , spin sideways etc. In the newer ones it’s always just the same pre determined animation and knock back for everything If they would re-do this game with these things and add maps and characters it would be awesome
