Carnage, the most evil of evil alien symbiotes, has long been Spider-Man's adversary. It's a descendant of Venom, the original extraterrestrial gloop monster. In the Agent Venom series, its "parent" has progressed from villain to violent anti-hero to straight-up good guy, but the younger organism was born bad and has remained so.
The symbiote Carnage and his host Cletus Kasady form one of the most lethal villains in the Marvel Universe. The pair is deranged, insane, and lethal, complementing each other with aggressive tendencies and vile behavior. But Kasady isn't the only one who carries the Carnage symbiote. The being has bonded with several other creatures over the years, but always returns to Kasady.
