Every Character Who Should Appear in Each DCU Project

The DCU is still in it’s pre-production stage, and the information we know about each of the as of now confirmed 13 projects is limited especially for the ones that are further away. There are around 50 characters who have been confirmed for this universe but there will surely be hundreds more, in this video I'll be going every character who should appear in each project.

Well, not the characters that DC randomly decided to turn gay even though they were proven to be straight in the first & second seasons (i.e., Aqualad & Halo). That was a very random creative decision. But I DO want Con-El (as his comic-accurate counterpart), Miss Martian, Aqualad (comic-accurate Garth), Wally West (as his comic-accurate counterpart), Beast Boy, Nightwing, & Artemis back. YJ kind of dealt the Shazamily a harsh blow, so. . . whatever.@@marcusyates3044

I’m so glad I’m not the only one who has that psycho pirate theory. However, I don’t think Psycho pirate himself will pop up. Peacemaker himself will be the dcu’s “psycho pirate” who remembers the universe he comes from, but he’s the only one who remembers. Maybe Waller uses the fact that she knows he comes from another universe to manipulate him into working for her in the DCU in exchange to him getting back to his universe. But of course, she’d be lying to him.

I was part of the crew on a few of those arrow verse shows. Gotta say as much as I loved the job, the shows were not exactly my taste. I feel like Gunn is going to do a much more adult friendly take on these characters. Really looking forward to seeing his vision come to fruition and I would be stoked if they film some of these projects at the Warner studio here so I would get a chance to work for Warner Bros again. It was a great experience and I felt really well treated by them. ❤

But you might want to look around online and see if you can find a school or perhaps some kind of online education in your field of interest. I know a young woman who was part of the VFX team that won an academy award for dune and she is completely self taught and works from home on her laptop. Not really a field I have any understanding of, but it seems like there is an increasing number of opportunities for skilled people in the digital arts.

I think the Justice Society and Martian Manhinter will appear in Superman (2025). The JSA should be mentioned by Mr. Terrific or Hawkgirl as the first generation of heroes that flught in WW2 and J'onn J'onzz cpuld appear either in a cameo (maybe as a cop in the Metropolis Police Department) or in a post credit scene.

I agree. This is something obvious that people keep overlooking that there are two JSA legacy members in the movie, Hawkgirl and Mr. Terrific, and with the movie initially being titled Superman: Legacy, them having predecessors may factor into the plot

Yes Omg I love the Rogues as they're probably my favourite villain team and I love their dynamic with eachother and how they have a begrudging respect for Flash. I've even written my own pitch idea for a Rogue's heist comedy/action movie or TV series about exploring the Rogue's as they're own characters, and seeing them steal from big name supervillains in an almost Oceans 11/Baby Driver type premise like you said. There was even a rumour about the Rogue's getting they're own project in the DCU too

I really hope James Gunn does the Titans right. Have actual teenagers play the Titans and keep either keep the titans as teens in the DCU by not using realistic time passing like the MCU or have the Titans age as time goes on and have new titans come along and replace the ones who grew up and left the team and only have teenagers be on the Titans instead of 3 teens and 6 adults like TITANS did. Like how the avengers movies introduced at least 2 new avengers in each movie, the TT should do the same. I want a suicide squad vs teen titans. There should be 2 TT trilogies. One with Tim and one with Damien. Since the bat family will be in the DCU and the first Batman movie will introduce Damien, he and Tim should have a nasty scuffle like they did in the comics. This leads to Tim leaving because he doesn’t want to be near Damien. So Tim forms the TT and becomes their leader while Damien becomes the new Robin and stays in Gotham with Bruce. We can have 2 robins in the DCU. People are smart enough to know which Robin is who, especially since one stays with Batman and one stays with the titans and if they both have a different costume. At the end of the 3rd movie, Tim decides to leave the Titans and becomes Red Robin and several other titans leave too. The remaining titans who are still teenagers then joins Damien’s new team of titans when he turns 13. We need another shot at Damien x Raven. There should be an acknowledgment that Dick formed the original TT when he was Robin

Aside from both having flight due to some form of wings, there's really no similarities between Hawkgirl and Swift even visually. Hawkgirl is Latina, and Swift is Asian, completely different personalities. Swift also usually operates the Authority's base of operations in the comics. And the human Green Lanterns confirmed so far for the show aren't even half of the total number in the comics' main continuity

The DCU's Outlaws should be Red Hood, (possibly) Red Robin, Static Shock, & Katanna. The DCU's Terrifics should be Mr. Terrific, Metamorpho, Plastic Man, (possibly) Elongated Man, & (maybe) Guy Gardner (since Gunn wants him in Superman: Legacy). The DCU's Shazamily (Billy/Shazam, Mary Marvel, Darla, Pedro, & Eugene) should be their own team. Captain Atom & Firestorm are wild cards; both are nuclear-based omega-level powerhouses. In other words, they're atomic versions of Superman & Shazam respectively. CA could go in the JL, & Firestorm, in the Teen Titans. However, they could also form their own team since there are a few other nuclear superheroes in DC.

DC created them as a response to the F4(like Damage and hulk), when DC’s the Challengers of Unknown actually inspired that group, similarly to the Doom Patrol with the X Men. For brave and the bold, I really really wish that rather than having Bruce be the Batman of this DC universe that I would be Batman's already been established. He's had Robin's in the past so one of them became Nightwing. Maybe something happens. Batman dies Nightwing comes back to Gotham realizing that Gotham needs a Batman and Dons the cow. Maybe we get flashbacks showing his time. Is Robin. Maybe his fallout with Batman their eventual reconciliation maybe we get a flashback of 2 months prior or something where Bruce meets. Damien and takes him in and then after he dies dick realizing one he needs a robin and two. This kid needs some direction and an outlet for his aggression and has him become his Robin like in the comics. That'd be pretty dope. I think that could be a movie that could succeed if they ever did that just because we always have Bruce as Batman. We already have Bruce right now with Matt Reeves Batman. I think having a Dick Grayson Batman would work wonderfully for this DC universe to differentiate itself from Matt Reeves the Batman. Because you know damn well people mainstream audiences are going to get confused with two live-action Batmans in two different universes both being Bruce Wayne. Just my opinion though

@@coltongates7397 sure call me that even though the only reason I’m saying this is because these characters deserve better, the DCU somehow manages to be structured worse than the DCEU and that’s when you know it’s bad, James Gunn doesn’t know how to make a cinematic universe, if he did he’d start from scratch excluding The Batman which not including in the DCU was probably the worst idea they could have had, the only way a DC cinematic universe can work is starting with the core six, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman Woman, Flash (Barry), Aquaman and Green Lantern (Hal) but they are doing all of them a disservice except Superman, that’s a huge problem
