What an absolutely wonderful show. The animation, voice acting, storytelling, character development and general absurdity are terrific. It builds a world that's a galaxy and focuses on the crew that deals with the backlash from the adventures of the bridge crew. The vibe is sarcastic and subversive, with each episode taking you on an adventure.
If you couldn't get into Rick and Morty but want that style of show, this is the one for you. You will fall in love with the characters. Find the Tendi in your life and hang out with them as much as you can.

To be fair, that's the only sensible course of action. A Cali class against one D'deridex is doomed, against that sort of firepower? Captain Freeman made the only sane choice. A California is the 24th century equivalent of the Miranda, a work horse, jack of all trades support vessel.

Its really great to see how much all of the main cast as friends make each other better just by being friends. All of them had great chemistry and helped with each other’s faults. We know Mariner had an EXTENSIVE starfleet history and a lot of crazy stories before them, but it wasn’t until she found “her crew” that she really started to grow as a person.

So, this was the second chance I gave this... well-made Star Trek PARODY. Watched this video for 7 minutes, can´t bear any more. This show, while certainly of quality work, annoys me to no end. One moment they are almost as serious and well paced as the more conventional Trek shows.... and the next two to 4 moments they do childish, over-the-top and or just plain stupid stuff. ANYONE, and I mean ANYONE who considers this "better" than the likes of Discovery or Picard needs to get their brain checked for some sort of tumor. And now they´re even doing a crossover with Strange New Worlds? With Mr. Over-Eager and Mrs. Loud-and-Obnoxious? Prepare for the worst episode of Strange New Worlds ever when these two clowns show up. I´d be willing to accept this as a pure comedic parody. But they don´t follow through on that premise either with all the "serious" moments that are in there. And thus, for everything that is indeed very well done in this show... does it fail in one critical aspect, for me at least: It´s mindblowingly inconsistent. In practically everything. I hate inconsistency.
