i feel like fury is mostly better than pyrokinesis. i get that it’s an instant, but you only ever casted it at sorcery speed anyway. also, fury can be a 6/3 beater late-game, and it can also hit walkers; like, at 15:20, you would have been able to knock karn down to 3 loyalty. not that it would have made the outcome of that match different, but considering how weak the deck is to karn (and teferi to some extent), i think it’s worth considering

Manifest and block on the Ragavan was critical because white from the treasure gives them prismatic ending on the token. This was round 3, I believe.

I’m pretty sure you do have to name a color as the manifest enters. I assume you would also have to choose a creature to copy if you manifest phantasmal image

I did a deep dive into the comprehensive rules and I couldn’t find much of anything related to this. I asked r/mtgrules and the two answers I’ve gotten so far agree with Brian. Basically the manifest has no abilities as it is being manifest or as it enters the battlefield. So basically the painter (or a meddling mage, pithing needle, or cavern of souls) would just not name anything. If it were to be flipped up, it would just have nothing named and the ability would do nothing.

You wouldn't name a color as it comes into play. You may on mtgo but it use to be bugged. I created the mono u stiflenaught deck, with scroll and tnn. Tnn isn't suppose to name an opponent either, nor if it's flipped up

Been practicing for eternal weekend and have been trying different decks. Completely new to legacy, where's the best place to see what the meta actually looks like against others. If 20 percent of the field is delver type decks I'd be down playing whatever has the best win rate against it.

Have you just tried MTG Goldfish? Go to the upper right corner and select Legacy from the format tab and it'll give you the meta breakdown and you can view decklists from every recent event.

@@42sporks5 I don't think it has that functionality. You get rough % of current meta, representative deck lists, recent events featuring the deck, and what place the deck got in the event. If you wanted to know what's good against a certain strategy I guess you'd have to tease it out on your own from the data or from personal experience or from somebody who plays a lot of competitive Legacy in the current meta. I've followed Legacy on and off for a long time, but I'm definitely not an expert in that regard.

On Game One You could played the Dreadnought and sact the painter and the Dreadnought. Than you wouldent had any artifact in Play and thay coulden´t wald your Painter back

Oh woooooow Look, another series of being beat down by Ragavan. "The meta is fine!" I'm sorry, but it's not. I think that this weekend with show that UR Delver is just too damn good right now, and that something needs to be done. I don't even think that Daze is a good enough ban to drop it down in power level. Ragavan and Murktide are looking like the choices for eating the ban hammer. Ragavan is NOT a healthy card. It's just a word salad of broken bullshit.
