Round 4 against Dredge, I'm pretty sure Memory's Journey works the way you want it to. IIRC the caster of a spell choses all targets, so you get to target your opponent, and the three dredegers in their graveyard, and they have to shuffle them in to their library (MJ doesn't have any clause that allows the targeted player to opt out). Check me, but I'm 90% confident. EDIT: Just rewatched for verification, and never mind. lol You were looking to target both players, not nuking their dredgers. :D The card, indeed, does not work how you wanted it to.

Anyone else on the page the horizon sets should be made Un-sets for tournament legality? Too much, even with multiple rounds of bans, still overly dominating every format.

Is there a reason to not go for the double burn spell during your end step in game 1 round 1? By doing it on their turn aren't you just giving them an extra draw?

Okay so get rid of Nadu and Legacy goes back to being the same as it ever was? It’s kind of a double edged sword cuz the card is probably going to prove to be too strong, but then we re-enter the same format legacy has always been, except with new toys. Idk just feels like us Legacy players are only ever comfortable with the state of the format if Delver is the best deck, but maybe that’s NOT a bad thing? Just an interesting conversation to have

Match 1 was a big mess

I want to play at the buffalo chicken dip in Columbus. But I don’t know what to play. Having a hard time finding a deck I enjoy playing.

I'm not sure basic plains is actually worth playing, because it doesn't cast Uro which is quite critical. This deck also doesn't actually have that many lands that can cast Tamiyo or Ponder on turn one. I understand that Magus of the Moon exist and that Plains can be useful to fetch before we cast Harbinger, but I still suspect that Plains costs more games than it wins. Sometimes I think control players overvalue the "sweetness" of having basics and undervalue the consistency of just having your colors. That one game where Plains lets you beat Magus is more memorable than that game that you lost because Plains doesn't cast Tamiyo or Uro and you lose a close-fought game. Having exactly one red source for our exactly one sideboard Pyroblast also seems like it weakens the mana base too much for the upside it provides (namely the slight improvement of having Pyroblast over some other sideboard card). Other than that, really cool deck and I enjoyed the video.

What do y’all think of sore of seven deaths in oath as another option over sphinx? It’s a 7/7 first strike, menace, vigilance, trample, reach, lifeline, and ward pay 7 life. Pros vs sphinx can’t get hit with artifact removal, vigilance, menace and trample makes it a great blocker and attacker versus creature decks plus life link it’s impossible to race it, they have to take 7 to remove with black or white removal, you can’t chump it with spirits cause of menace and trample, cons it doesn’t have flying or pro green and red but pyroblast can’t kill seven deaths anyway not force of vigor or naturalize affects. It is playable in oath I think so.

Love that’s there’s tourneys that allow proxies for revserved list cards, I’m lucky enough to buy all my reserved list cards back in the early 2000s I play oath and initiative hatebears but I have one set of power so I can’t have both at the same time, i might sell my lotus cause it’s a nice beta copy and I can buy well played unlimited one and have money left over for some other stuff I want, and I hate playing with it cause I don’t wanna mess it up it’s probably a nice 6

I used to love Pauper. I'd play delver/faeries and whatever meh tier 2 control decks I could find. The Mikeyr00r00 80 to 100 card UB/Grixiz no win con special. Snow control. That sorta deck. But over time, the format changed. The proliferation of Monarch, broken combos being printed and banned, the printing of 20 artifact sac draw 2s... I hate this Pauper, where every deck is sorta ... Hearthstone level of never running out of cards. But while I miss the Pauper I used to enjoy... This is still a unique, cool format where a lot of cards get play that see no other play, the format is still interesting and skill testing, even if it's not for me. And that's ok. Merry Christmas, all, and thanks for what you do, Bosh. This video is great and I'm looking forward to watching it.

29:50 this is why I love watching Brian play. The ability to play just two matches vs. Broodscale, and extrapolate from there, with unerring accuracy, exactly what the best strategy to win is.

Not gonna lie, i was very surprised you didn’t surveil away tasigur and reanimate it through daze or force (not both obviously) in the first game. Seemed like a good gameplan from my vantage point against basic island tamiyo that is likely to only have 1 piece of interaction. If it hymn to tourachs them and then you spell pierce back, just feels really good.
