Thats pretty interesting, the lego star wars: the force awakens video game has a fairly extensive character list, which includes four Dejarik pieces as playable characters. Grimtaash is playable but he’s under the name Molator, so maybe it’s changed in canon or both names work or an error on lego’s part.

There have been a couple good attempts at a playable game already. You can just use the Dejarik miniatures and a round map and use the old Star Wars miniature rules as well.

It would have been nice for one of the AotC arena beasts to be one from the ANH Dejarik board, just for some internal reference. The Reek would have been a good candidate, since it wasn't as original a creature as the other two, and its role in the fight sequence was less dictated by its physiology.

Semi-sentient? I'm assuming you actually mean semi-sapient, unless these things barely experience any emotions or thoughts at all, akin to plants. Sapience is associated with great intelligence and wisdom to a human degree, such as long-term planning and philosophy. Animals such as crows, parrots, dolphins, some smarter breeds of dogs, primates, and of course humans have all shown degrees of this. However, they are all without a doubt sentient already.
