Great review Usman!!!... I am a big fan of Dominican tobacco and find (at least for my palate) that it is more enjoyable than Cuban's, and I also find the construction and performance to be better than most premium top brands put out by Habanos S.A. (and no... I'm not just piling onto the "I hate Cuban construction bandwagon"). I just believe the Dominican's overall are better in every area elegance and refinement, flavour and aroma profile, performance and construction (but again, that's just my personal opinion built up over my 25 year journey with cigars). I collect and own vintage Behike's (mainly 52's and 54's), Partagas Lusitanis, Hoyo epi No. 2's, and recently I have about 50 Cohiba 55's etc (and many MANY more in my collection of nearly 1,000 cigars across my humidor room). But nothing compares to my beloved Davidoff Royal Release, Oro Blanco's, Limited Signature No. 1 and my Opus X Angel's Shares and Ashton ESG 24yr salutes (also made by Carlos Jr. at the Fuente farm).

I smoke new worlds but I definitely prefer cubans. I got my first box of EGM today, one violation larger than the security. About $21 USD per stick. I totally agree on acclimating, however what length of time do you feel is best, at the minimum? I usually try to go 2 weeks to a month.

Not sure if they retail in the UK. EGM appears to be primarily an internet grey market retailer, based in Switzerland. You buy from their website. This cigar is currently about £15, with free shipping. They say they don't ship to America, but that may just be for the Cubans (you will need to check on that). Reviews about their reliability and service are generally positive. I have just placed a small sample order into the UK..... looking forward to it.

I don’t think ive ever heard of cigars you can inhale so I wouldn’t. Resting them for atleast a week should be fine I think.

Most definitely I don't care what anybody says. I smoke a lot of CUBAN CIGARS, and in every box I buy, there are always some cigars that are cracked or poor Construction.

I spend a lot of money on cigars Cubans, I will by and pay the price tag for, behike 52-54 I also like a Trinidad Fundadores partaga number to Montecristo four etc. but there is no way in hell I'm gonna pay more money than a couple hundred dollars for a cigar. Never you are just a fool if you do that. It's like a Richard mille watch. It's not nearly worth the money that he asks because he limited supply. People are so vain to say I can have something that no one else can have, and will pay 10 times the amount of work that products with no cigar is worth hundreds of dollars for one you have to be an ass to pay that money.

Here is my case in point about price he is enjoying the hell out of the cigar and it's not that much money. In fact, you can call it cheap compared to some many other cigars such as a Davidoff a Arturo Fuente at Cetera. Well I love the cigars they are well over priced all cigars that are premium are over price but some go beyond the boundaries of sanity and if they can fetch the money from willing stupid people they will continue to rise. How much more for example, with a $600 Davidorf Oro taste better than a $20 cigar or the cigar I do not see the justification for the price.

My problem with the transition is at 80% Or more of the Cuban cigars I have smoked I have loved. On the flip side, best and 25% of the new world cigars I have tried, especially from Nicaragua, I would not try again . When you're buying all of your cigars and not getting free sample sticks, even new world cigars that are less expensive become expensive when you're wasting your money. New world Producers, even the ones with Cuban background, seem to be more interested in mass marketing then then anything else Than anything else. Also I believe that 1799% is more than enough For a new non Cuban stick. Thank you for the presentation!

It’s not about how much they cost to make. It’s about the cultivation, the non stop caring for the plants, curing, aging, fermenting, quality control, rolling, presentation and god knows what else. That’s why people are willing to pay higher prices.
