Same debate bbq snobs had that lighter fluid ruins the flavor when smoking bbq then turns out Johny White from the best bbq in America, Goldees, uses lighter fluid.

The workers who make that cigar. Can basically quit the job and open a store. Sell them for 20dollar or something. Same taste just cutting off that fancy branding pricing.

I noticed there's a double arc insert now. Theoretically, you're hitting the edge and center as you rotate the cigar over the double arc. Has anyone tried one yet?

Been smoking cigars for 40 years and have many boxes 20+ years old. A cigar that is very evenly and very finely and very lightly dusted only on the wrapper and shows no signs of mold is indeed plume. It takes many years in my experience 10 - 15+ years for a wrapper to start crystalizing not just one or two and it looks nothing like mold. On the other hand mold looks like mold, smells like mold, it's spotty, sometimes colored and looks like something growing and it turns a cigar into trash, you can smell it as soon as you open the box. Plume = best cigar you have ever smoked, Mold = disgusting and should be thrown away. The one shown on this video was obviously mold and not plume because plume is not spotty it's very minutely lightly and evenly dusted like it got some very fine dust all over it. I have had friends ask me if they had plume on the box of cigars they bought last year and I tell them to throw it out. It takes years to develop plume and it's a natural process if you keep your cigars in a humidor that is both temperature and humidity controlled. It does not look like mold it looks like an aged wrapper if it looks anything like mold then it is and you should throw it out.

Generally speaking 3 to 5 years is a good amount of age on those cigars so should be fine t smoke. Try one and if you think they're good smoke them as you please. If you think it still needs some time after the first smoke, stash them and come back to them later :). Congratulations on the win.

Fake Cohibas are all over Mexican border towns. They were the first cigars I ever smoked. Some little beer joints will really try to rip people off, charging $20 for one. Go into the grocery store though, and they're $1.50 a piece. I am smoking one now. You can't beat it for a buck fifty. It burns even and slow. It's put together like any other cigar, profesional. The taste is not amazing, nor the strength, but it's every bit as good as a $3-4 stick from a discount retailer online in the USA. It sucks that they are deceiving people. They should just brand them honestly and sell them for what they are: decent, obscenely cheap cigars from Mexico or wherever the heck they come from.

Just to add a little more, I've also cut one open, and it looks like long filler throughout; no mold, bugs, rat poison, etc Reading some more, I do understand the notion that we shouldn't pay for fakes as it encourages the fakers. I'm talking about fake Cubans I got in Nuevo progreso specifically. Apparently some fakes are much worse. But also, just like the guy who smokes one, thinking it's real, and proclaims it the tastiest cigar he's ever smoked,I think there's the same sort of prejudice where people who know it's fake automatically perceive it as the worst, god forsaken tobacco they've ever had the displeasure of tasting. I bought em when I didn't know better. I didn't realize cuban cigars were rare and expensive. I thought they'd make working mans smokes that just weren't available in the USA and were good. So id have never spent big money on them, but, finding them for cheap, enjoyed them and smuggled a few home.

Just wanted to say something about this, maybe if you loose the mentality of this cigar is going to be better than the monte cristo or the dunhill only then you'd be able to give it a good rating I just tried the epicure no3 hoyo and trust me I swear to God it was the worst cigar I ever had in my entire life cause I compared it to no 2 epicure and I compared to other strong cigars like liga privada no 9 or what ever the cigar you like you can't compare cigars cause each and everyone has their unique flavour and construction

Man I love cigars, the experience of it all, the taste, and the community aspect. However, paying $30+ for a cigar...something that you BURN into ash and smoke is ridiculous, no matter how much $$$ you got.

@@cigarinspector2023 There are some good Lots in there, but the estimates are IMHO (deliberately?) way too low. Considering the Deposit system they use, I think the bids will all come in at the last minute. So its hard to know where to put your £££. I have registered, I have my Watch List, and shall follow the Auction live. Hoping to catch some mature / discontinued sticks at a good price. This whole aspect of ageing cigars has got me intrigued, I need to try some!

I have to ask because your order of operations always confused me…… how many cigars have you thrown out because you didn’t check the draw before lighting it? I mean there’s options to make the draw better, but once it’s lit you limit those options.

I'm a sole Davidoff 2000 smoker in short; It’s mild/light very creamy cigar with a pleasurable fragrance. The scent is so nice many will ask what cigar it is. Taste is objective thing for all; but If you like mild cigars or are a beginner or veteran the Davidoff 2000 is a sure bet.

Thanks for the review. £45!!!!! And that was just 4 years ago. Try £155 - £179 now in London. How can these outrageous price increases be justified? Cohibas may be good, they may have an extra fermentation etc., but this surely is just a marketing thing. I will settle for lesser promoted, but still really great Cubans. There are still gems out there at fair prices, especially if you shop in Europe.
