I absolutely agree with Zod being the number 1 DCEU villain, but I think Darkseid should've made the list as well. I'm aware that we didn't see so much of him but I feel like it was just enough for us the viewers to convince ourselves that he was gonna be the next BIG BAD, even for the little time he was given to shine. On #14, I actually thought the movie was building towards the twist that Ares was long dead and there was no puppet master fueling the war: just evil, ruthless humans. I was sure of it when Diana killed Ludendorff and nothing happened, and I thought it was brilliant! I was so bummed when Ares showed up and they had their boss fight that the movie lost me completely. 😂

I think Ocean Master gets the edge over Zod because Ocean Master's motivation, mainly comes from the hate he has after his mothers death. As soon as he saw his mother alive, all the hate in his eyes dissappeared.

Fully agree, Zod was my favourite villain on this list by far, and I also thought he was the best. Although his main rival for me would be Superman, straight after he's comes back from the dead and just dominates the Justice League (I love when he picks up Bruce and while squashing his face tells him "tell me do you bleed", if Lois had been a little late Batman's head would likely be crushed to a pulp (Yes I know that scene is in your least favourite movie, but I don't care I love that scene). Even if only for 5 mins or so it was still pretty awesome, especially when he looks round at Flash while holding back the rest of the Justice League. If you had any doubts beforehand you know right then that if he is on the Justice League's side, Steppenwolf has zero chance of success.

If I was to make a top 5 it would be killer croc, Harley Quinn , the joker , Steppenwolf (zsjl) , general zod! The main reason I picked killer croc and Harley is the fact that we finally got a live action version of them and as for the joker he definitely got redeemed in zsjl knightmare scene and made me want to see more of him! Steppenwolf from zsjl had a reason to do what he did was very imposing aswel! And general zod was the best villain of the dceu hands down!! Strong motivation!

They should have recast Lex, use the no legged man as Metallo and replace Doomsday with him or Parasite, for Wonder Woman they shouldn’t have killed off Ares so easily and that they could have used his creation the Silver Swan for the sequel but I think that Cheetah and Maxwell Lord could have been the dark reflection of Diana and Steve Trevor if they fully commit to it, the Flash they shouldn’t have done Flashpoint but instead the Flash year one where the Turtle is a genuine threat and also recast the Flash, SHAZAM 2 they should have gone with Dr Sivana, Mr Mind and his monster society instead of the Daughters of Atlas and if this Batman was made I would have the Penguin to be the one who hires Deathstroke to kill Batman and also I would have the Shadow thief as part of the Intergang in Black Adam movie.

Michael Shannon’s General Zod was BETTER than ALL MCU villains, DCEU villains AND Heath ledger Joker. He was BELIEVABLE, intense, and you KNEW WHY and HOW he was going to accomplish his objective. Heath ledger joker was ok …. But wayyy over-exaggerated.

James Gunn's portrayal of DC villains will never ever top Zack Snyder's portrayal of DC villains. Zack's DC villains is just very much more memorable and they have more depth and lore being fleshed out on screen.

2:22 Ah, yes the most original idea in 2016: a sky beam... wait. 4:05 Correct me if I'm wrong but Ishmael has achieved a new level of forgettableness in which Sean flat-up forgets to record him and has to use photos that he has to show himself because he forgot about him until he finished recording, that (to my knowledge) is the first time this has ever happened. 6:57 Except for the fact that he decides to still keep his father from being imprisoned which leads to the timeline being different so he learns but at the same time doesn't learn. 8:03 The Joker is my favorite comic book villain of all time so the DCEU deserves to be shamed for making easily the worst version of the Joker that there is, also how on earth is he alive because you can't tell me that if any version of Batman were to forsake their no killing rule (or doesn't have the rule) that the Joker wouldn't immediately be his first target without a single thought to so much as question otherwise, because part of the point of The joker is that there is not one single person in the universe who tempts Batman to break his no-kill rule more than the Joker. Finally, the relationship between Harley Quinn and The Joker is supposed to be a toxic one because he's an abuser and there was a lot of great devolvement with other versions of the character where that's the case but in this version, he's not and that just feels like a cop-out, and shows that the PG version was a lot more risky than this version. 10:38 Don't you mean the cave troll from Lord of The Rings. 12:22 Another villain that Sean forgets about for a part of making the video (at least he remembered him earlier, than Ishmael). 14:00 The biggest stain on a great movie. 15:46 He didn't play Mark Zuckerberg, because Mark Zuckerberg doesn't exist, he played Mark Suckerberg. 17:02 I didn't buy Cheetah's arc at all because I feel like just because she lost all her good (character) parts doesn't mean she would turn on not only her best friend but her only friend with no remorse at all, and that fact that there were best friends wasn't even brought up in the final battle and how would fighting Wonder Women help her at all, and the scene where she fights back against the rapist doesn't work because it barely shows that her character has changed since why wouldn't anyone who had her powers do it, the film treats this as if this is a major point in her becoming a villain when Diana does the same thing earlier in the film so I don't see what the problem is if she killed the rapist that would have worked but she doesn't kill him, she just acts in self-defense, finally, it's embarrassing how it's treated even partly seriously how a part of her character's arc is her learning how to walk in high heels... 27:13 Don't forget they were beaten by one of the most on-the-nose product placements ever... this comment was brought to you by Skittles.

The REAL villains of the DCEU are the Warner Bros executives!!! In all seriousness, I thought the DCEU had some pretty strong villains to be honest. I would say that General Zod and Orm are top tier villains in my opinion. I also think Amanda Waller, Black Manta, Black Mask, Dr Sivana and Victor Zsasz are all good too!

Ayers actual plan was for Steppenwolf to come to Earth bc he sensed Mother Boxes🌌👩📦 or some shit n those weird black pimply headed people were actually supposed to be _PARADEMONS..._ but once they were going to use those characters in "Josh-tice League"... Ayer was forced to change Steppenwolf with Enchantress and her brother and replace the _PARADEMONS_ those pimply headed people

Interesting breakdown. I would not put anything related to Shazam 2 so high on the list. Everything about that film was terrible, and poorly executed. You did change my mind on Amanda Waller: That she's really behind so many things going wrong, and rather than face the music, she uses villains to try to cover her tracks. I would definitely flip your #1 and #2. Although this Zod was definitely more interesting than the Richard Donner version of Zod, that end punchfest in MoS was extremely uninteresting. But Zod would have been the best in the DCEU ...were it not for the just-released Aquaman 2. The most enjoyable part of that movie is Wilson's performance and (most importantly) Orm's redemption and the reconciliation between brothers. Lastly, did I miss it, or did you fail to rank Darkseid? 🤔 (It would be very low on my list, since he was about as two dimensional as you can get, as well as being a bit of an absent-minded idiot. 😅)
