Hey everyone, today I’m going to be briefly summarising every single killer backstory, lore and tome lore, to hopefully help anyone out there who doesn’t really want to read the lore but does want to know about the core story beats and general narratives of their backstories.
The Resident Evil x Dead by Daylight chapter is out and the new killer is Nemesis and survivors, Leon S. Kennedy and Jill Valentine. The Racoon City Police Department is the new map!

Someone mentioned to me that they'd like a summary of the backstories as I tend to do a lot of lore videos but don't directly dive into the whole story too much. So, here's a quick summary for all killers. Let me know if you'd like a survivor one too.

Wait....Wraith’s bell was given to him by his father...who told him to ring it when there’s danger. Wraith’s power is cloaking, which is done by ringing his bell. Could Wraith be subtly fighting back against the entity by deliberately alerting the survivors, warning them of the danger. Warning them....of himself?

@@Sketchy_Dood or it could be that both are at odds with each other… wraith could be ringing the bell and the entity but because he can’t override it, he have no choice but to do what it want him to do. Either way is a smart way to go about it… these stories are great in their own way and can be taken in so many forms tbh:)

The Twins story is surprisingly tragic. Despite their condition their mother loved them and tried to protect them. As well as near the end of the lore that Charlotte immediately runs towards the sound of Victor despite knowing that he's dead.

And not to mention , that the victor that Charlotte is working with in the entity’s realm isn’t even the real Victor ( I think ). It’s a decomposing flesh puppet the entity is using to coerce Charlotte to kill for it ?

John Kramer did not kill Amanda, she was killed by one of the player in the trial in Saw3.

I would argue that John did indirectly shoot Amanda, because he planned Amanda's game where that is one of the options which could happen. He anticipated that she would get shot by Jeff if she tried to killed his wife, because... well, John is an omniscient god who can predict the future...

Honestly, I feel for Rin. She's actually one of the Killers that I feel never deserved what she got. She seemed like such a loving person that was altered into the Spirit from everyone just treating her like she wasn't human at all. It hurts to see as I feel that Rin, while alive, deserves way better.

I feel bad for her, she's one of the people I feel wouldn't be vengeful or evil if she wasn't mistreated so much, and her father killing her made the volcano explode. I always imagine myself if I could befriend some of the killers before they became violent, at least the ones that weren't just there to kill in the first place lol

I have a small suggestion, Nit-pick.. Especially since nothing really happens in the video, i like to only listen to the audio, but i was forced to tab out to see which killer you are talking about as it all sounded like you are reading from 1 long paragraph.. Maybe a few second pose and an announcement saying the killer's name would be good to put in between each story. So transition between Michael Myers and The Hag.. '' his fate is unknown but his murders remembered....'' The Hag..... ''Lisa Sherwood is raised in a secluded village cut off from the world.''

PH is described as manifestation of guilt and punishment or something. But I would sum it up as "PH exists when someone deserves pain and punishment for their sins. As long as that exists, they exist."

Love the video, i feel like you hit every important part of each killer's lore without rambling. A little feedback i have however is that it would be nice to have a second or two to breathe in between jumping from one killer to the next. Sometimes it goes so fast you dont realize its another killer if you're just listening. Just a thought that i think might help the phasing a bit in the future. Keep up the good work!

I feel like with Adiris you should of mentioned that the entity began to corrupt and influence her when she was losing her faith, causing her to kill her adoptive father. Just saying she killed him "Because" makes her seem a lot more cold and less caring. Especially in the archive cinematic where she kisses his forehead and cries after taking his life.

Loved the lore and hearing about all the backstories, especially the characters I only know from the game rather than their stories. Since you had gameplay going on in the background, maybe record the gameplay AS the character you're talking about? That would be a good visual cue since the stories tended to run together. Amazing work and appreciate your effort in gathering it all!

What do the killers do in between trials? Do they just vibe or do they get instantly placed into trials again and again non-stop? I’ll take theories too

They most likely "vibe" much in the same way Survivors do at the campfire. For example, The Trapper could work on his traps at his workshop, The Plague spends her downtime praying and performing rituals, The Shape simply stares into empty space until it's time to kill again, etc.

Killers and survivors roam. Survivors chill at the camp fire until they fall asleep (they were chosen for a trial) the killers can stalk the survivors or practice or sum in their free time. For example the blight (before he became a killer) actually interacted with many killers outside trials when he was first taken. That's how some of them got blighted outfits. He injected them. Because he survived its assumed they arnt aloud to fight back.

Honestly, I'm heavily grateful that you made this video. There's no way that I'd be able to find all the lore on the killers in the game anymore. My only suggestion.....? I don't recommend using video footage where you're spinning the camera a lot like towards the end.... There are people that can't handle such quick movement. I was curious about the gameplay myself while listening to the lore but it got hard at the end because of the sudden rapid movement.
