Me with Seluvis 😭 he asked me to get something but Ranni also asked me to get something, so I got both items, delivered the dagger to Ranni and when I went to deliver the Amber thing to Seluvis he was dead 😭 so I googled what I missed out and I almost jumped in front of a car cuz I was running an astrologer build. Gotta start a new game+ to get that precious talisman and remember not to progress Ranni's quest before delivering the amber starlight to Seluvis.

@@Tarmax94 When I got the first frenzy item I was 100% sure that those things were related to the ending I wanted, so I checked a wiki on how to get it BUT without reading too much to not get spoiled. The last two steps of the wiki are about how to cancel that ending, which I realized after doing them. Setting up the Frenzy flame ending cancels every other ending (or at least did at the patch I was playing on) so even though I could have got every ending (finished ranni's quest, fia one, etc.), my first playthrough's ending had to be the basic one. Still mad about it.

She dissapears without telling you shit, moves ten thousand miles, goes underground a sewer maze, after a hidden wall behing a boss battle, to the bottom of a pitt lower than the depts of hell.

Genuinely, how do they get to these areas? You had to do so much platforming and fall through and ACTUAL, PHYSICAL stone floor to get to the 3 Fingers. What, did Hyetta just patch up the massive hole above her after getting down there? Or could it be that NPC's do just literally teleport around the map with zero sense for how they'd get to places that are locked behind killing bosses or other tasks? How did Goldmask and the holy npc make it to the mountain tops? Did they just happen to have another key the whole game? How did Alexander get up there? His ass couldn't even make it out of Limgrave without getting stuck multiple times and you expect me to believe he made it to Farum Azula?????

have you seen a glitched speedrun? It absolutely is. Even disregarding that you have that item Varre gives to teleport you to Mohg's Palace. Its possible NPCs have similar items they dont drop (Varre probably has this item as well but doesnt drop it) that teleport them (Rya to Volcano Manor, Hyetta to 3 fingers, Bernahl to Farum) or that there are teleport gates inaccessible to the player (D reveals one to Guranq but its possible there are others that are in lore but not gameplay)

Don't forget the classic "you COULD have gotten the good ending for them by speaking to them at least five times after exhausting their dialogue each time they change locations, have at least three Envoy Horns in your inventory, and have completed this other entirely unrelated side quest before handing over the key item. Also, the "good ending" is that they still die, but have an extra line of dialogue where they reference a connection with another obscure character."

@@rebeccabarbosa978 thanks for the tip I used to mostly use the toothfang sword it makes good damage and special attack too but it's on lvl 8 and does kust a little many say the moonvile katana is one of the strongest weapons but not really. The ice axe was buffed to so it doesn't really do much damage. Next time I better try sleep postions on the god scalp duo. God I hate these guys even Mogh is better to deal.

@@BRANNANROSS Quests in Souls games was never good, mainly because they never give any goddamn indication where they go, sometimes they could teleport to areas you've already explored so you'd have absolutely no reason to cross paths with them there. Then if you kill a boss they will wind up dead in a ditch somewhere. Quest design has never been Fromsofts strong suit, I actually don't even know if Fromsoft has got ANY strong suits in their games....

My favorite: you're teleported to a forest full of giant bears after trying to steal from Patches, then you hear a strange howling near some ruins and spend 40 minutes looking for it thinking that it is another "Boc the bush" case, but end up looking up by chance and seeing fucking Guts at the top of the ruins. Then you try climbing the ruins with torrent for some time, try smashing the wall and, finally, try using every gesture you have to see if this triggers something, but no. After giving up and looking online you'll see that Kalé will give you a gesture to progress Blaidd's quest. HOW SOMEONE'S SUPPOSED TO FIND THIS ???

Was redoing the blaiid quest today and I am not sure how I didn't see it before but God did it feel way too shallow. I mean I don't need a big narrative but this felt like. "Oh this guy told you we'd get along, help me find a traitor, you're a trusted companion already." Like a snap of the fingers isn't exactly a good way to see if someone's trustworthy.

Here's a world filled with pure hostility, Blaiid is a bodyguard to someone who has people who would like to see her dead. Then pretty much cause a guy walks up snaps his fingers and says. "Hey this merchant that's a friend of yours says we'd get along" is enough to get this guy who is normally mistrusting to offer his full friendship? It's either lazy writing or Blaiid is kinda incompetent.

The quest would have made sense if you noticed you could summon him to help fight Raya, the Heart Thief. But you probably just didn't find the merchant at the bottom of the blood pit that sells you a vague hint of where the dungeon she's in can be found, or just ran in without waiting to see if the gold thing in the corner to summon him would appear or not.

Like that NPC where you need to discover 2 secret areas, one of those requires an item at the end of a cave almost at the beginning of the game, only after talking to somebody hiding from you. And then another item at the end of an isolated castle, in extreme points of the world each other. But before that, you need to kill some random dude in the middle of nowhere. And to get to 2nd secret area, inside the 1st secret area, you need to go through a town where invisible people kill you, and solving a puzzle at the same time. But that town is easy if you read a random note that you bought from a merchant in the middle of the map.

People cry about Alexander, but my man got the ending he wanted and deserved. A fight with who would become the next Elden Lord, after both defeated a living legend (Radahn) side by side. Though yeah, it somehow seems like there's unusually many NPCs just dying or about to die in this game, Dark Souls 3 made the world end and it still wasn't as depressing. I love you, Karla.

@@DerVasto Fuck Alexander's happy ass, the Jellyfish spirit girl has been dead for years and helped several people throughout their entire playthroughs. The only reward she gets in return is seeing her sister one last time, IF you manage to piece together that you need to go to star ruins summon her because, the talking jellyfish that's begging to see her sister again, is the same sibling of the jellyfish you can summon. You only learn this by reading her tragic backstory from the item description menu, which details that she's the spirit of a little girl who died unable to fulfill her promise. To top it all off you can see their grave yards with your girl, phantom Jellyfish having the description of "She was never able to gaze the stars." Even though they were buried together she somehow ended up with us and despite that fought bravely to help us out without any way of knowing we would help her out in the end.

For those who don't know, the quests in this game were added so last minute that when the game initially released, several of the questlines couldn't even be finished. Fromsoft had literally not finished adding the quests into the game and you could only follow the questlines so long before the next step simply did not exist. They finished adding them in the first few game patches

You also don't need all three keys to get the djmbass bird, just one of them to reach the 'Chapel of Anticipation.' I'd recommend looking up her quest line on the elden ring wiki, though, cuz you know how from soft is with their bullshit quest failure markers...

The rot stoped...she was fine...yet she decided "ya know I made it this far but I just dont feel like it anymore imma die" I get that its cause the game needs you to have the needle to stop the bad ending but...they could have made her die and in her dying breath give you the needle...but nah they went about the weirdest way possible

Milicent wanted to die as herself after fighting alongside her friend, and that's why she removed the needle

First thing I told people when they were getting into ER was either go in blind and experience it without expectations and don’t get mad no matter what happens or go in with a build planned out because some obscure best in slot item may become unattainable because you talked to one person, accidentally stepped on a rat or killed a boss before talking to some obscure NPC for the third time who traveled to the side of a mountain you have absolutely no reason to visit.

Seriously though, all the god tier weapons have crazy stat requirements and weird scaling. “This legendary club, wielded by the most physically intimidating caveman can crush all that would oppose you! I think you forgot the part where you forget to exhaust their dialogue causing the quest to not even progress. Best case scenario it was a skipable step, worst case you've killed the thing that had to stay alive for said quest.

Don't forget some quests ask you to do a hard loading to go further, meaning if you don't die and don't teleport you can go dozens of hours without advancing the quest just because you play well and don't take shortcuts...

I love that he's still using the greatsword you get right at the beginning. I used that thing forever on my first "playthrough" (I didn't finish) because I didn't have the resources to upgrade anything else to nearly the same level, and just kept making that worse and worse as I dumped new materials into it lol
