I’ve watched it. And it is spot on. It’s particularly specific to this one guy on the show who always just said that something was worth whatever ridiculous amount he claimed it was. My sister used to make fun of that guy too. There were a few other people on the show who did a bit more research before claiming items were worth some arbitrary value, which made that guy seem even more absurdly overconfident. 😂

It gets borderline impossible to watch at times when they find something you're knowledge about. I remember an episode where they bid like 500 on a locker, opened it up to find a bunch of old trades equipment. They wrote it off as a loss, "we might break even if we're lucky?" When some of the individual tools they showed would easily sell for 100-150$ used each.

I remember some guy finding a box of NES stuff on one episode. He took it to a totally legit game store that was giving him totally real prices and not fake ones the producer made up. The prices he was getting quoted were unreal. If memory serves his "low serial number" NES (Not a thing that affects the price of an NES) was apparently worth 200 dollars alone lol. An NES isn't even worth that much now. This was a decade or more ago so the prices for NES stuff were way way less than they are now.

Wouldn't "low serial number" NES consoles still be a thing, it's just an early production thing. Doesn't necessarily mean it's worth more, though I do know that it does lead to value increases on things like vintage cameras, but only if the condition is decent (thrash goods are still just trashed goods)?
@devilmikey00
@devilmikey00 7 ай бұрын
@@WWYD0what I meant by not a thing was that it in no way is something that affects the price of an NES, not that serial numbers on NES weren't a thing. It's just something they made up to pretend that storage NES was worth more than it was for TV.
