In a city of secret gardens the Cité Fleurie manages to stand out as an extra special experience. I've always had a soft spot for this calm haven of artist residences, and there's surely no better spot to feel fully transported from the conventional idea of what Paris is.

Doesn't it seem odd that there were NO people around at all? No one coming or going, no one enjoying the garden? No open windows and most of them completely curtained off? It would be interested to know if units are empty or what.....clearly some folks are there with their cats! Also, at the end you refer to a 'university there' - what is it? It looks like a very large garden space....would love to find out what's in there.
