Remember having an unfinished copy of instruments of chaos (obviously so because I recognize the stage with the elephant)... Absolutely hated it because there was no way to complete it

Oh wow, on a cartridge? That would likely be the 1992 prototype with only two stages. The second stage is the temple with the elephant but as you said, it can't be completed.

@@Noiselandco yeah it was on a Sega Mega drive II (as it was called in my region....I believe it's referred to as a Genesis in some places?). Realized recently after doing research that it was, indeed, unfinished.
