It does in the books aswell! It stays at harrenhall for most of the time, securing the massive castle for Daemon. Also occasionally they daemon does ride it and he did meet the brackens with Caraxes. Glad that caraxes got screentime atleast, it could have been worse than this considering how slow paced everything went.

Every time I hear you say, "for some reason" it means you didn't pay attention. I don't care how poorly the writing was, there were explanations behind major events especially Daenerys burning down King's landing.
