In 6 years of raiding I have NEVER had more fun then raiding in Lucent Citadel. These fights do not disappoint, introducing mechs that we have never seen in any trial before, and introducing a brand new fight structure that gives a breath of fresh air to endgame.
Despite how FUN I find the Trial to be, it seems far too easy as it stands. Each of these Hard Modes were completed with 3 different pug groups, and clearing all three HMs only took a total of about 5 hours of progression. To be fair, we've done a good job in the endgame community sharing tips between eachothers prog to skip some of the learning curve that these new mechanics and structures bring, but still, the fights are extremely recoverable and not hard to clear if you simply play for the clear.
I'm not confident in speaking on the difficulty of the Trifecta just yet, as we played for the clear and not to minimize deaths. I see so many different ways where no deathing the second and third boss fights can become very tricky, but overall, I just don't see it being as difficult as Mindmender or Swash Currently. In fact, some players on Genesis (granted the best team in the world) feel confident that they can get the Trifecta in a week. I have NEVER seen that happen before, and if it does, it suggests the trial needs to be tuned up a bit in my opinion.

12 minutes for that last boss HM is going to be a real challenge, I can see them changing the cooldown to 12 minutes instead of 22, so that you have to cycle it between everyone multiple times rather than just once

I think 8-10 is very doable for the fight with the no deaths. We did it in 14 with a few near wipes. If somebody dies their debuff goes away so the fight becomes very recoverable

@@eigh1puppies Oh wow, 14 is really quick especially with deaths. Been trying it on normal vet with some pugs and haven't managed to clear yet. Think it might seem like a longer fight than it actually is.

Hey @eigh1puppies , great video! I'm planning on running this with a beginner group on Thursday coming on regular veteran, I was wondering which mechanics are Hardmode exclusive?

Most of the mechs are shared and just less punishing on regular vet. The only mechs that I think only happen on vet are final boss tether in the first mini room, and the skull aoes in the necro room!

Pretty cool, thanks for sharing. I couldn't help but notice you said they may need to make it harder. lol, that's crazy considering 99% of players won't be able to do this as is.

I gauge difficulty by how early content is cleared on PTS. Sanity’s Edge for example took 5 weeks for the first trifecta clear on PTS. This one will be cleared next week. For endgame raiding, it’s definitely too easy.

@eigh1puppies that's awesome you guys deserve a challenge. I hope they give you what you're looking for. Thank you as always! Any suggestions for how someone can get more into endgame content? How does one learn if no one is willing to teach? My experience is that raid teams aren't very patient or willing to teach. I have good burn on the dummy. Sitting in the 100k range. But mechs and in content skill is a different ball game. Unfortunately, finding help and a patient team is very difficult.

@@eigh1puppies Hey!, even tho vSE Trifecta was achieved in 24 raid days (this being almost a month since the trial was active in PTS), we don't think it's possible to achieve vLC trifecta in a week Genesis members don't recall saying the trifecta is possible in a week, unless this is just a "someone said Genesis said" that happens quite often, it's not a big deal Besides that, thanks for sharing this video!, some of us could literally not play the raid yet due to the PTS Incident, so getting some extra info is always useful

At last a fun one and completely managable. Not like Ansuul rng-based boss. Also yes probably need to do it more difficult at least to pump up some numbers cuz 2 first bosses are ridiculous to clear and once you get down mechs are easy ND. Trash pulls are more diff than the 2 bosses 100%
