Hey, sorry to bother but there's a really cool HN mod in the works called "hello neighbor curse retold", it's sort of both a HN1 remake and a HN2 retake and it uses lore from the books and stuff. Early acess is releasing very soon, most likely january, I think you should check it out once its out

Ehh, we said the same about HN2, and yeah, it was an improvement over the first one in terms of puzzles, polish in animation work, and handling the artstyle actually WELL, but it still fell short in terms of some puzzles still being pretty cryptic, not showing us the Guest that was teased over and over for the game, AI still being dogwater, broken promises from the devs, the game being incredibly short, still very buggy for some reason, and relying so heavily on the books for context. I really hope this time around the lore will ACTUALLY be in the game. When I saw HN2, I thought it was alright until I found out about the broken promises and the hundreds of people who wasted their time and money on something that was never put into the game. They just put the same AI from the first game into this one because "Why should we try when people are just gonna buy the game anyways?" Illumination levels of quality, I'm telling you.

i don't think that book is ever gonna be adressed, it was supposed to connect to old HN2 and well, it didn't.

That ended up being a little bit of a lie

Pretty good decision to make Jacob a NPC instead of being an actual protagonist, cus I didnt really like his model. Of course new one is better, but still... Also I want player not to have hand, like in early Alphas of HN

Looks like they are trying to bring back all mechanics from previous games and Alphas. dragging mechanic, buying stuff in Gas Station for puzzles, generators, ropes, extinguisher, Ai can pick up some stuff like in first Alphas of HN and HN2, new style which is really similar to the first one from 2015 - 2016. Really hope that TinyBuild and Nikita understand what they're are doing and wont make too much uncompletable promises

the last one is my special one. It has a place in my heart and i use it in every outro. It's called 'Unknown' HN2 unused OST (it just doesnt have a name) and the first one is just the one from HN2 Office, and the second one is unused HN2 OST, that was revealed after Patch 9 release
