My dear, 12 Aditya 8 Vasu 11 Rudra 2 Ashwani Kumar All their consorts. They are always worshipped in a set. That's your 33 koti. Brahma is cursed to not be worshipped. Vishnu dev is the youngest Aditya, Mahadev the eldest Rudra, Shiva the third Rudra, Shankar is the second. The Aditya, Surya has 4 sons, Shani, Yama, and Ashwani. As we keep going the number just balloons. Other than Surya and Chandra, there's the Navagraha. That's 7 more. Of the Prajapati, excluding Brahma, there's 52(this includes Daksha, Saptrishi, Swayambhuv Manu etc.) Yeah... Basically there were 33 but then they got families and the number just kept increasing

@@Jatav79602 if one’s Ishta devata is Kali, then Brahma and Vishnu are more or less irrelevant, and Shiva is very secondary to Kali. In that case Kali is supreme and the Trimurti barely factor in if at all. In Advaita Vedanta, none of them matter, then the trinity is Brahman, Maya, and Atman. In Sankhya none of them matter at all, it’s all Purusha, Prakriti, Jiva. Etc etc etc My point being, if you look at Hinduism as one big thing, then sure maybe the Trimurti is “supreme”, but when you get into specific traditions it becomes a very different story.

There are actually 3 GODS in Hinduism - Brahma, Vishnu , Shiva. The other female goddess are "SHAKTI" and they are depicted as the wives of the 3 main gods. Which symbolizes that without Shakti, the other gods cannot exist and vice versa. All the others like Indra and all are demi - gods.

Bhrama has 4 heads which represents 4 vedas and 4 directions.. he is also the father of 4 Kumaras.. Having multiple arms represents their different forms.. God is one, but has many forms which is worshipped in India. This video, while informative, gives misinfo at a few places. While it miscategorises many forms of God as popular (which they are not), It fails to mention the most popular form of God in present India - Krishna. In reality, out of the top 3, Shiva and Vishnu are more popular (brahma not so much), and apart from them, Krishna and Rama (avatars of Vishnu), Saraswati, Lakshmi, Ganesha, Hanuman, Kali, Durga, etc are popular forms of God. Rest all, while revered, aren't much popular

some of the interpretations of the gods were wrong in the video. if you want correct interpretations of hindu gods, you can get concise english translated versions of hindu epics like bhagavatham, which is the stories of all 10 avatars where childhood of krishna can be seen which is not there in mahabharat. if you like reading try reading 18 puranams which are stories, portraying the philosophy of vedas to easily get understand the vedas for common people. Ramayana and mahabharat is a detailed stories which were already in the puranams as a concised ones. you can learn more about shiva and ganesha, etc in puranams as well.

For Eg, the Moon god(chandra) has 27 wives in story, which represent 27 constellations that are behind moon on each day. Also, because he was more fond of 4th wife than others, he was cursed to have leprosy and cycle through immense pain and depletion of energy every 14 days, gain back and wane again.... ie 28 days cycle. my personal opinion is to pick up videos from Indian Hindu guys who are born and brought up in that atmosphere, they'll have a better understanding of Hindu philosophy and practices since you're into learning that some of the videos you pick are by foreigners (who aren't probably even Hindu), and their info is almost always half baked, lacking and has a certain level of bias attached if you wanna know bout us, better coming from one of us who has a better grasp (like project shivoham, Praveen Mohan etc) i know you pickup most videos for recommendations, so it's the guys recommending you who should pay more attention.

Bro first of all i would like to tell you that according to Sanatan or Hinduism their are only 3 supreme god Brahma, Vishnu and shiva and 3 supreme goddess Parvati(often depicted as the other half and feminine side of Lord Shiva) wive of shiva, lakshmi wive of Vishnu and Saraswati wive of brahma.all other female goddess are other forms of these supreme godess mainly of goddess Parvati. and some god(like Surya,indra,vayu,varuna,agni,kama dev,yama,etc..)that are mentioned in this video are actually not gods but they are like a posts that is given to devs(celestial beings) and person on that post have to perform duties given them by Lord Brahma,person on that post changes after every Manvantara. and for Lord Hanuman he is a ansh avatar(partial avatar)of lord shiva and for Lord Ganesha and Lord kartikeya they are sons of lord shiva who basically also contains part of Lord shivas power in them. Hope i have fully explained my self and i would also suggest you read bhagavata purana or vishnu purana(which tell's full story of lord vishnu's life and his all avatar mainly krishna avatar) then you should move forward to Mahabharata.

There could be millions of gods in hinduism, but TECHNICALLY, when english scholars translated the word "33 koti" they translated koti as "million" but it was actually "categories" in that context. So we have 33 categories of gods in total (not 33 million), originated from the Brahman (one universal soul) and the source of everything else.
