I am an active duty U.S. Infantry Marine, and actively earning a gunsmithing degree, so I speak with confidence on the below points, feel free to add counter arguments if you desire - You shouldn't add a point on every use of inaccurate grenades and should instead add one point then point out how often the inaccuracy is, this caused an excessive amount of points added - Some guns you mentioned several inaccuracies on and would give one point, while other guns you charged several points on which is inconsistent - I think that gameplay features shouldn't be considered as inaccuracies since their only purpose is for gameplay design, and have no relation to the historical accuracy (Like no hands on the M2, scavenger, fast hands, etc.) - The "ACOG" listed in the menu is the 6x MDO (Machine Gun Day Optic) which in the USMC is only used on the M240B, however the optic shown on the FAL is actually the 4X RCO (Rifle Combat Optic) - The Grenade Launcher shown in the menu seems to be a blend of the M320 & GP25 - The AK's in game typically show the optics screwed into the guns rather than using the typical AK style mounts - The AK "Dong Grip" is entirely too blocky - The Mujahideen soldier saying "I will take you to the leader of the Mujahideen" isn't necessarily wrong as the translation of an Arabic dialect into English would be hard to portray that he's a leader of their encampment - The machete's in Panama also have backwards handles - Even to this day many SOCOM and Intelligence Agency personnel still use models of the M1911's, only until the late 2010's did SOCOM replace the MEUSOC 1911 for the Glock and/or Sig P320 - In the mission where you snipe Mason, calling a 7.62x54R a "Smaller caliber" than a .50 BMG is technically true however the round is still more than capable or tearing off a limb - The .45Tac in game isn't based off of the FNP-45, but instead the FNX-45 Tactical - You can't assume that the Cap-40 is chambered in .40 S&W because the U.S. Military has an odd nomenclature system, with that logic the M4 should be chambered in .44 Magnum - The FAL in game holding 25 instead of 30rnds could be considered wrong, but it is common even to this day (Even tho it is incorrect to believe this) that loading 2-5 rounds less than than a mags total capacity saves your mags over time providing safer feeding; this started in Vietnam when spring steel was less durable and we didn't issue anti-tilt followers in mags - On the racking of the M27 sometimes on newer modes the charging handle catches not allowing you to fully rack the bolt, so troops have to pull it harder causing a similar animation - The futuristic RPG-7 could be compared to the Airtronic PSRL-1 rocket launcher If you would like another individual for reference material regarding future content feel free to reach out and we can work something out, I have a very dense background in firearms, the U.S. military and many connections due to networking; I've no problem offering free advising for you!

To be fair most "random names" of weapons are because they didn't pay for the naming rights of the weapon. There's been a handful of a game in which you kinda know exactly what the weapon is supposed to be but its given a different name (usually a military designation or a random name in general) and they slightly adjust something about it, or the name alone being change is "ok" for them to not be charged by the gun manufacturer (refering to the olympia) but it's happened many times through out COD as well a other random games. Copyright exists even for weapon names and they the game devs are supposed to somehow change them to not "Resemble: the real deal somehow or another. I'm not exactly sure what the standards that allow you do make the exact weapon but it not get considered copy right. But I do know Military Designations and random names tend to be "allowed:" by game devs and the gun manufacturers won't sue over them.
@cwp2411 ай бұрын
That’s what Project Wingman had to do with the aircraft having to use different names but mostly with letters switched around, example, the F4-E is referred to as the F/E-4, F/A-18E is referred to as the F/E-18, the F-14D is referred to as the F/D-14 etc due to them not having a license which is very expensive. Whereas this is not the case for Ace Combat as they have the license to use the real names and have had the license since Ace Combat 04. Most game devs don’t have the license as it’s too expensive for most game devs especially indie devs.

Actually the 2025 RPG is based almost entirely on the PSRL-1, an American brand version of the RPG-7 often given to NATO members or Allies as a means of helping the transitioning from Soviet based weapon designs to more modern and NATO resembled ones and is still in production to this day, though it is unclear if the US uses it themselves as the 2025 missions seem to imply it is the main launcher for the US and Allied forces.

One thing I'd just like to add for this games depiction of 2025 that had nothing to do with weapons, is that the police cars that you see in the missions "Cordis Die" based in Los Angeles appear to be inspired by the Carbon Motors E7 prototype, which at the time was a purpose built police cruiser that was only to be available for Law Enforcement agencies and planned to become available in 2012. Carbon Motors is now defunct, but at the time some were predicting that these cars would become standardized across major U.S cities in the near future. Thats just my thought anyway. Great work wit these vidoes, guys! wonder if in the future you might consider looking at some of the older or more recent Medal of Honor games like the 2010 reboot or Frontline or Allied Assault.

Most of these aren't even historical inaccuracies, just general inaccuracies, like when he lists off flaws in weapon models. The way he nitpicks it makes CinemaSins look like good faith critics. I don't think the weapons from the 2025 campaign meant to be futuristic versions of existing guns should be treated like they *are* the guns they're based on. But of course still mention stuff that doesn't make sense on any gun. Like bullets in transparent magazines not matching the actual amount of bullets in the gun. For example, yes, the XM8 failed to replace the M16A2/A4 in the US military or any military or even get adopted by one except in Malaysia. But the gun in game is not meant to be the XM8. Rather it is a new gun derived from the XM8. For guns like the AN-94, yes, tear them apart.

1:19:15 I think this is the entire point. In Achielles Veil, when attempting to shoot Menendez, he tells Farid "To those you serve, your life means nothing." This is also reconfirmed in the start of the game when Hudson tells Mason something on the lines of Woods being forgotten by the CIA since he got captured, I believe that they don't talk about it, because despite the actions of both foreign and US soldiers because it doesn't benefit the government, (Which is Menendez's entire motivation in the 2025 setting) another piece of evidence to support this is in the mission fallen angel, Menendez says "They care nothing for the suffering of their people. Neither to the Americans or the Chinese" in which the ISI commander says "They care. They care for their own interest,nothing more."

2:48 I think Treyarch choose this kind of uniform for convenience. Judging by those photos, both MPLA and UNITA soldiers wore similar looking uniforms. This might make it hard for the player to tell the difference between friendly and enemy NPCs. However, they could have used the SADF instead of UNITA. The SADF wore mostly khaki uniforms. Plus the game is already using SADF vehicles, such as the Buffel and Eland Mk7.
