This is verging on the more practical side of Grindhard as there are tons of Humvees that people want to go 70 on a highway in. So the LS swap, and better gear is going to be watched by a lot of people who would do this.... I don't know any myself, but the guide to doing this is out there.

All of the wires on the humvee and most army equipment aren't color coded but numbered. To trace the wire problems, look for the silver tag that is near the connector, and follow the numbers. You can get the manuals, and it's a hell of a lot easier to troubleshoot military than civilian.

The really fun part about having Podrick around now is that he's someone who gets Ethan's genious and craziness on a technical level. Like Edwin and the guys always knew how much of a mad scientist / engineer Ethan is, but those reactions really used to happen closer to at least the functional prototype, where the big picture of the project becomes much clearer to see. Podrick on the other hand gets the idea right away, before or during the fabrication process. Which just lets the both of them speak the fabricator's language the whole way through the collaboration. and that's so fun to see!

HAHA love to see the WAGO's "wire nuts" i orderd to you 😁. While those are standard connectors for electrical installations in EU, i thougt they could come in handy for your prototyping, so i send you some. Happy to see Ethan figured it out😅 Hope they make your work little easier sometimes. Greetings from a swiss electrician, l enjoy every single of your videos👍

Love seeing your design and build skills. Serious question... Doesn't all of that slag buildup on the arcdroid table screw up the cuts? Like, prevent the metal from laying truly flat, and put the cuts at a slight angle through the plate?

You should fab and extend the bed of the truck to give it that "baja" look. The photo ops with that bike in the back... chefs kiss.

You should put a little triangle race brake light down the bottom for a third brake light. Would look cool as well as be helpful to people behind you when youre turning

They use those connectors all over RV trailers for lights and other low voltage applications. Really nice because you don't have to deal with wire nuts but the Con to them is that sometimes the wires come loose in the connections if there is any tension on the wires. It took seconds to swap out a water pump on my RV with the connectors. Just make sure both wires are stripped back enough and fully engaged into the hole before pushing down the orange tab.

It looks like you could build a little ramp/platform that folds out of the tialgate to hold the choppers back wheel. Could be a cool project.

I like the warning signs on the Humvee. It reminds me of one on a dump truck my dad had. It said "do not walk under the box when it is raised it WILL FALL & KILL YOU. not may cause serious injury or death. No, it will kill you. Like the box will find you and finish the job if you happen to survive. That single fork trick for digging a trench would not work here in Minnesota. Gray clay doesn't play well with others. Especially when it's frozen, or thawed for that matter. I love that Backyard ballistics story. In my opinion kids that grow up out in the woods have the best childhoods. My brother and I did the same thing, but we didn't have a book, we made it up as we went, but the goal was always to blow something up or hurt one another. There was the normal trying to make bombs. Then there was things like knife fights (it wasn't a real knife. We would through the knife across the basement then wrestle and fight each other until someone got the knife and stabbed the other) Tennis ball tag (one person drove the three wheeler the other tried to bean him with a tennis ball) Sledding without a hill) sled behind the three wheeler but the guy driving was trying to make you fall off the sled) best childhood ever. 😉

The Humvee seems to have gotten really spry with that corvette engine in it. Either that or Ethan’s thrashing that Humvee like only a country boy can 😄. I love your dogs, they look super chill and cuddly. And I really love your projects and you guys sense of humor. You rock 🤘🏻.

Would be awesome to see the monster chopper fit better. You could add a roll bar around each seat, triangulate tie them together towards the windscreen and have a centre section lift up when you have the monster chopper loaded in.

Chopper tires are bigger than Humvee tires. Build a "roll-off-dumpster" style loading ramp for the chopper. Back wheel inside with tailgate closed & front wheel above cab. Ramp starts flat on ground behind Humvee. Roll chopper on & strap into place. Then activate hydraulic arm to load onto Humvee.
