Husband here, I put away the dishes when we were newlyweds and was bitching the entire time how the dishwasher was doing a horrible job and leaving a greasy film and chunks of food. My Wife didn't have the heart to tell me I was putting dirty dishes away. She didn't want to interrupt because I was finally helping. LOL

I truly understand! Mine doing something in the kitchen terrified me as a newlywed when my husband almost set the house on Fire try to REHEAT ONE ☝️ PIECE OF CHICKEN 🍗! Fast forward 31 years later after divorcing and then remarrying each other and he’s improving SLOWLY 🐢🐢🐢! He made hamburgers for dinner and four out of five were edible and he didn’t set the kitchen on fire! ( I obviously love him to do this twice but you can be dang sure that the fire extinguisher 🧯 is in the cabinet in hands reach to the stove and everyone’s been trained to use it! “

Omg, my husband mentioned to me like five times that he cleaned the bottom of the fridge. I said good. So he repeated himself. Honey, I cleaned the bottom of the fridge.. he looked kinda confused but determined, honey, I cleaned the bottom of the fridge. Finally I replied Thanks babe. I had never seen a man so damn proud of himself. Oh, he was cleaning up the juice he had spilled the day before. The same spill I asked him to clean up.

My ex husband had a knack for emptying the dishwasher when it wasn't quite full...and it wasn't quite full because there were two of us, so it took several days to a week before it was full enough to justify running it without wasting water. And he knew this. So basically he put dirty dishes in the cabinet with the clean dishes and wanted praise for it lol.
