It was very good question by the lady and I agree completely with her sentiments. The reality is that Korean film industry is currently beating us hands down when it comes to global market. I know even some of my own Indian friends and particularly women prefer Korean TV serials/ dramas/films over Bollywood. In my last 30 years that i have been away overseas i cant really say that quality of Bollywood films has improved much. There is no doubt that there have been some good films worthy of spending 3 hours on but most of the others are junks, very superficial/unreal to the point of being laughable in their approach. We need more films with substance. We need to learn from Koreans to see what they are doing right to get so much global attention.
