"From Russia With Love" is my favorite "007" game of all time, an exceptional video game on numerous levels! It is also in my Top 10 original Xbox games of all time list, Connery was brilliant reprising his role & is my favorite Bond character, as I grew up in the 60's & loved watching them all with my father then.

That EA James Bond run was LEGENDARY. It’s actually what confused me in the early 2010’s when everyone said EA was so bad. I was like “EA? But they made those awesome James Bond games…How can they be bad?” Little did I know.

Personally I'd place EON 2nd. The bike level was a ton of fun (firing a shotgun one handed while sliding on a bike is maybe the coolest Bond has ever been) and I found the stealth really enjoyable. The co-op was also interesting but extremely difficult, with barely any health pickups and a limited lives system resulting in many frustrating afternoons of trying and failing to complete it. Great list though!

@campxbox It’s one of the reasons why I’m heavily considering collecting for the system. The PS2 is my favorite console, but games on it are quite expensive due to the console’s notoriety. The Xbox often has the best multiplat ports, and it has better visual output (especially on HDTVs). There are a few expensive titles on the system, but I figured I could probably just save up for them if I really feel like it.

I loved Goldeneye on the N64 so was hyped for Agent Under Fire, i remember feeling so let down by it. Just felt so cluncky and slow, even till this day it is my least favourite of the EA Bond games. Thankfully their games improved after then. Everything or Nothing was my favourite of the EA run with From Russia With Love being a close second, the third person gameplay of these games really worked.

@@campxbox If you haven't played it yet give Blood Stone 007 a play, i really liked it. Plays like events that could have been set after the Bond movie Quantum of Solace leading to Skyfall. A nice little step of events between those two movies. The game really fits with Craig's five movie 007 story, Blood Stone really fits in well for being the third movie/part of his Bond outings. The game ends on a cliffhanger that teases someone is watching him and his actions (Blofeld) without saying who it is.

I'm of the opinion that the EA era of James Bond games was the best ever. NightFire was the first game I ever played, and though I got sick of it as a kid due to me losing and not owning any of the other Bond games, it and its predecessor Agent Under Fire are my go-to when it comes to my Bond fix, featuring fantastic variety, gunplay, and level design. As for the others... I unfortunately played Everything or Nothing during my autistic "hate period", so the new perspective and plot ties to the utterly atrocious film A View to a Kill alienated me, whilst GoldenEye: Rogue Agent I despised with every fibre of my being... And that sucks, because after revisiting them as an adult, the perspective change was the right choice for Everything or Nothing to deliver a satisfying, equally addictive followup to Agent and NightFire, and though Rogue Agent is definitely the weakest of the "GoldenEye Trilogy" (the other entries being GoldenEye 007 and GoldenEye Reloaded), I'd be damned if I'm not having a little bit of fun as the titular henchman in non-stop action setpieces and anticipating when the multiplayer is revived through Insignia. Unfortunately, I'm yet to complete my set with From Russia With Love [starring Sean Connery as James Bond 007]. Which sucks, because it's meant to be a brilliant swansong for EA's tenure and Connery does a pretty swell job in his old age as Bond from what I've seen.

It would be nice if a 007 games were released every few years again. It seems these studios are dumping hundreds of millions into super large games once per decade... I think that's a bad idea compared to the 'old way' where a smaller game is released more often.

Honestly- gonna have to completely disagree with just about everything you said about Nightfire. Driving was not an improvement over AUF- it was rushed and not handled by the experienced Need For Speed devs that worked on AUF's open, freely explorable driving levels. By contrast Nightfire funnels you down a linear driving corridor with no ability to choose your own path- crippling replayability. Saying the FPS controls are an upgrade is debatable. Switching equipment was easier but the guns themselves were more stiff than ever, and some of them blocked more than a third of your vision when you hold them. A noticeable downgrade from earlier games like The World Is Not Enough and Goldeneye. Level design is worse than AUF for driving, but on foot it's about the same. Only the first level really shines as something truly new. Everything else had about the same complexity as AUF. (You're right that the skyscraper was a standout design though). Environmental interaction, while pretty good, was still a step down from AUF which offered more stuff to mess with- even allowing you to tap out the 007 theme on a piano at one point. The biggest misstep you made though, was the multiplayer. You make it sound like Nightfire was the first to bring bots to the table, whereas in reality both TWINE and AUF both had them too, and AUF's were a lot smarter than Nightfire's. Not only that, but Nightfire's only truly decent level -Skyrail- was done before (and better) in TWINE! Even worse, the levels give you a pathetic handful of places you can grapple to (reportedly EA forced the devs to allow this. They didn't want to have a grapple at all), whereas in AUF you can grapple to ANYWHERE at any time, along with using boosters and jetpacks and all sorts of inventive modifiers in its own multiplayer suite. Compared to the multiplayer of AUF (and even TWINE's), Nightfire's is honestly kind of pathetic.
