@Johnny Sins name 1 QB in the history of football to put together an Elite statistical season without at least 1 great receiver
@calebcroy073 жыл бұрын
@Johnny Sins Vick never threw for 4,000 yards, he never even threw for 3,500(those aren’t elite numbers)he did have Roddy White & Desean Jackson during the bulk of his career who were frequent 1,000 yard receivers. And yea Justin Jefferson is great, Ja’Marr hasn’t caught a pass from anyone other than Joe Burrow since high school, but idk why you think that Great Receivers & QB’s can’t exist on the same team. Great receivers can make an average QB like Kirk Cousins throw from 25 TD’s & 3,500 yards a season, but simply having great receivers doesn’t carry a QB to 5,000 yards & 60 TD’s, I understand if you think he’s not particularly elite, but he is great.
@calebcroy073 жыл бұрын
@Johnny Sins you could make the exact same argument for Chase, Chase has only caught passes from Burrow, being as he opted out of his JR season at LSU, you have No real proof that either is better without the other,m(unless you wanna bring up Joe’s half injury season). Besides, Joe did lose the QB battle due to an Injury to his throwing hand, if you genuinely Believe Dwayne Haskins is better than Joe Burrow, then we can go ahead & end this debate here

@chuckyjamesamartin19683 жыл бұрын
Nobody here is a stat nerd, but here you go (note that the list will include the fab 5 playmakers, appropriately named by Chris Fowler): QB Joe Burrow: (passing) 5,671 YDS, 60 TD, 6 INT, (rushing) 368 YDS, 5 TD HB Clyde Edwards-Helaire: (rushing) 1,414 YDS, 16 TD, (receiving) 55 REC, 453 YDS, 1 TD WR Justin Jefferson: 111 REC, 1,540 YDS, 18 TD WR Ja'Marr Chase: 84 REC, 1,780 YDS, 20 TD WR Terrace Marshall Jr: 46 REC, 671 YDS, 13 TD TE Thaddeus Moss: 47 REC, 570 YDS, 4 TD The three wideouts listed averaged 80 catches for 1,330 yards and 17 touchdowns! Chase and Jefferson has 195 catches for 3,320 yards and 38 touchdowns by themselves! That's more yards and touchdowns than some teams! And don't give me the BS excuse, "oh, well they passed every down so it wasn't that hard". Need I remind you, Burrow only threw 527 passes in 2019, and his team ran the ball 494 times. That means LSU passed the ball 51.6% of the time. His rushing offense picked up 2,536 yards or 169.1 rush yards per game and 32 touchdowns, so argue against that last part? Want to? Didn't think so
