SPOILER ALERT! 2021 has been a huge year for kaiju, pun intended. We've already gotten Godzilla vs Kong, Pacific Rim: The Black, and SSSS.Dynazenon. Now on Netflix, the Godzilla: Singular Point anime has joined the party and it's packing a lot more giant monsters than just Godzilla. We scoured the series and found some familiar faces, some recognizable monsters with makeovers, and some obscure references to Godzilla's past encounters. The insects living on Godzilla actually bear a very close resemblance to the giant bugs / beetles that are found in the flooded mine in the beginning part of the original Rodan movie

They’re called Meganulon and they also appeared in Godzilla vs. Megaguirus where they also evolved into Meganula and eventually absorb Godzilla’s energy and gave it to their queen, Megaguirus

"Manifestation of Nature's Wrath" actually is Godzilla's initial message. Even Shin Godzilla has a bit of that.

@@noelnelsontimbal348 That's because Shin Godzilla is a movie about how the Japanese government handled the 2011 tsunami and Fukushima nuclear disaster horribly. It is very much a modern-day take on the original 1954 Godzilla except that one was showcasing the horror of the atomic bomb and nuclear energy.

Salunga wasn't entirely created for Singular Point. Its essentially an updated Gabara. Which is also green, with similar scales, and a horn on its head. As well as similar ears. The bugs on Godzilla go back to Godzilla 1985 with the giant sea louse. And Mechagodzilla has typically been built around the skeleton of a previous godzilla.

Definitely should have mentioned how Kumonga resembles Megalon, Salunga resembles Gabara, and how Godzilla’s early forms resemble Titanosaurus, Varan, and Gorosaurus. Just sayin’. Could have made the video that much longer.

This video honestly seems surface level at best, just googling the monsters for basic information rather than being made by someone who actually knows what they're talking about. A bit more evident when he refers to Mothra as "usually a friend of Godzilla", which is actually the opposite.

It's called Godzilla Singular Point because Godzilla is a singular point in the show. If it was Jet Jaguar Singular point then it wouldn't make sense because Jet Jaguar is not a singular point.

The bugs on Godzilla have a slight resemblance to the Meganulon from the original Rodan.
