I think overall, Rivendell is better then bared dur but i prefer bared cuz the dark tower of the dark lord just seems so much cooler to me then an elf sanctuary

bro i wished i liked barad dur we only get half of the tower the price is way over the top like with everything at lego today, it should have been darker, you can see blue bricks trough when you closer to the set, the lightning is a joke, we get few minifigures, we never saw barad dur from inside so things like the cafeteria are a bit random and seem like a child set, unfortunately there arent any good alternatives from other brick fabricators at the moment. Sadly lego could have cooked way more with barad dur

Right? Like the Easter eggs and jokes would be fun if it weren’t almost 500 dollars. Not so cute when I’m breaking the bank for it; I’d rather just have a more faithful adaptation with a few more orcs. The set just never appealed to me as much as the Tower of Orthanc or Rivendell, and that’s coming from a major LOTR fan.

@@MinosPrimethekingoflust I mean yeah. It’s a great set don’t get me wrong. I wouldn’t tell anyone not to buy it for the reasons listed above, it just doesn’t personally appeal to me as much. With a $460 price tag too, I think nitpicking is more than fair when it comes to deciding whether or not I personally want to buy the set.
