Should You BUY Lego Barad-dur?

LEGO Lord of The Rings Barad-dur (10333) is an incredible set released on June 1st, 2024. There is all kinds of amazing detail but all some drawbacks in my opinion. Let's take a closer close, and see if you should buy this $460 LEGO set.

I dont think the new version of gollum is the worse, in fact is the best in my opinion, the other ones look like lego friends design with the eyes, where this new one is more accurate to acutal minif designs, love the set got it today

Bought mine on the 2nd of June with the hope of getting the Fellbeast GWP and was beyond upset when I heard it sold out on day 1 and they werent prepared for that. Def hurt but the overall build has been solid. I do wish Sauron was taller and more imposing and the set being 33 inch itself has made display limiting but Ive managed. Solid review.

Is the building experience more tedious than all of the windows on Avenger's tower? If someone had to choose between purchasing Barad-Dur, Rivendale, Diagon Alley, and the Avenger's Tower, which is the best choice?

Good question! I havnt built Diagon Alley yet so I can’t speak on that one unfortunately. The windows on the Avengers were a lot less tedious in my opinion. They are bigger pieces so they are easier than a bunch of small black pieces. I guess choosing between them though depends whether your more of a marvel, lotr or Harry Potter fan! All amazing sets and you can’t go wrong with any. My favorite was Avengers tower with a close second being Rivendell. Hope this helps!

Could be worth getting if they plan on releasing battle packs. Very few can muster an army when the average orc goes for around 20$.

Thanks! Good question. I normally place mine vertically due to space but horizontal is probably better if you have space. I prefer to try not to stack sets on one another so sometimes you need to use your best judgement. Hope this helped.

As of right now, yes! Pretty crazy prices the minifigs are selling for online. There is a good chance these prices will slowely go down over time though.

Holy hell dude, I get wanting the video to have a quicker pace but the editing on this makes it so hard to follow. Literally not a single sentence has any room to breathe. If you just gave everything like another 0.3 seconds between speaking it would improve the video tenfold. Also, there's nothing wrong with reviewing a set that belongs to source material you don't fully know about, but I'm kinda surprised you didn't get the 3-7-9-1 sticker piece is a reference to the opening prologue of the entire series, or the meat being on the menu joke.
