@@kingkong9892 Killmonger didn't "choose" anything. The gold suit was left in the lab after Shuri and Ramonda fled. Also the gold represents their tribe. Their called the "golden tribe" aka the panther tribe and they live in Birnin Zana the "Golden City". T'Challa's choice of silver actually represents a departure from tradition, foreshadowing some of his later actions in his movie.

I strongly agree, Black Panther's first MCU appearance had the most ascetically pleasing suit by far. I was really disappointed when they switched it out for a worse-looking suit in his stand-alone movie.

My favorite Black Panther suit is the upgrade one from his 2018 movie. It even returned in Infinity War and Endgame. I just love how fairly comic accurate it is, how it has almost everything the Civil War suit has and more, the kinetic energy attack looks amazing to me, and it still has traditional African designs on it.

The Civil War suit and king T’Chaka suits are some of the best suits in all the MCU. The Golden Jaguar suit was also sick. The rest are kinda mid. Im honestly super glad to see these videos return. They’re how I found this channel!

I honestly love all the suits but I think my fave is Shuri's because of how elegant it looks and it has the blasters (tho I do understand it's a bit "busy looking" and that's not everyones cup of tea). but the Killmonger suit is a close second :)

The Civil War suit is probably the GOAT MCU suit for me (either that, or Captain America's stealth suit from Winter Soldier). Marvel Strike Force got it right: Civil War suit aesthetics, improved Panther habit functionality (the kinetic pulse is a move he can do in game).

Assuming that chunk is made of concrete and that one of the edges is the length of Luke's arm, 3ft long, plus some (.5ft) then I can figure out how much it weighs by treating it like a little over half (9/16) of a 3.5ft×3.5ft×3.5ft concrete cube. The volume of that cube would be 42.875ft^3. The density of concrete is 150lbs/ft^3. 42.875ft^3×150lbs/ft^3=6431.25lbs or about 3.217 tons. Multiply that by 9/16 and the concrete chunk is (6431.25lbs×(9/16))=3617.58lbs or about 1.81 tons. An M67 grenade has a explosive yield of about 1.2×10^-4 tons TNT so his grip strength must be that at least to keep his hands pressed together and contain the blast. He also crushed a metal gas line pipe by squeezing with his hands. These are usually black iron(X-80 mild steel) which has a material yield strength of 555MPa or 1.16×1.10^7lbf/ft^2. (7.6in*3.5in)=26.6in^2=0.184722ft^2 4.49×10^6 lbf/ft^2×0.184722ft^2=82940.78 lbf or about 414.7 tons. Luke Cage's striking strength force is about 415 tons. Cage also pushes a 1995 Chevrolet Monte Carlo in the Defenders which has a curb weight of 3451 lbs or 1.7255 tons.

Shuri's suit has a lot of accents, but they fit super well for the character especially since they incorporated her warpaint designs from before as well as being more techy looking due to her being a hardcore scientist. The lithe style she's rocking mixed with all that works super well, imo, and I'd have rated it way higher for sure.

Actually, if you really think about it both Shuri and Killmonger had their golden looks inspired by T'Chaka. Clearly the costuming department of this franchise is next level and even Oscar nomination worthy showing how much thought and creativity they put into it. Gold is an ostentatious colour that can represent status, wisdom, enlightenment and the Sun - illuminating it's surroundings- as the wealthy and cultured in our society often want to be seen. We associate the colour with being the best at something, like a gold medal or golden plaque, similar to how T'Chaka was largely seen as a great and wise leader. Killmonger's aesthetic represents a corruption of this image and references what T'Challa says to him about becoming the people he hates so much in a misguided attempt to reclaim one's power. As a child no doubt he would have known of the Black Panther through stories from his dad, and after finding his dad killed that image of the mythical Black Panther to a young kid becomes warped into something evil, predatory and monstrous.... this is reflected in the helmet's frightening appearance with a more prominent scowl and gnashing gold teeth along with leopard spots (a nod to his pet in the comics). He looks like the image of the vicious killer a child would have imagined after having his only family taken away.. Shuri's aesthetic also seems inspired by T'Chaka's with the helmet even adopting a similar facial profile but with a few ornamentations like the dots (notice the two fangs on the front of the jaw match T'Chaka's mask as well). The gold pieces are a lot more numerous in the whole suit this time, making it look like plate armour almost, and this might be a feminine thing as the Dora wear armour with adornments and metal plating particularly on the shoulders. This could also be her trying to mimic her father who wore gold but she remembers him, as many children do, in an idealised, heroic light... her mental picture of him wears more gold than he actually did while he was Panther. This is why T'Challa's suit is the absolute best and his choice of it over the golden one says a lot about his character. T'Challa is a humble, dutiful son and as such would never see himself as above his father, in fact he sees himself as a rookie almost with much to learn and large shoes to fill... the GREY/SILVER to T'Chaka's GOLD. Grey is a neutral colour, it's stern, cool, serene and controlled. It respresents strength(like steel), patience, resolve and stealth. And his Civil War mask gives it a relaxed yet menacing hyper-focused look, perfect for his introductory appearance. It also shows his willingness to break tradition when it no longer serves a practical benefit to the situation at hand. He updates the suit color scheme to be more stealthy and effective in the field. He offers the long-ostracised Jabari a seat at the ruling council. He opens Wakandan knowledge to the world... and even rolls back the "bow before the king" policy. Remember N'Jobu took a knee in front of T'Chaka and made a big deal about everyone else doing the same. With T'Challa, like his sister, an expert in memeology just hit them with a curt "we don't do that here" Also... it's not like Erik had a choice in suit colors... he probably just picked up whatever shit was lying around after Shuri and Ramonda ran for the literal hills. Shuri had made that gold design because she liked it. Also she represents the golden tribe (aka the panther tribe) and the capital (the traditional seat of the panther kings) is called the golden city.
