I like the idea of legacy heroes. Allows comic writers to tell the story of a character and not have the status quo returned to by the journey's end. When all is said and done, the title passes to another writer and character who will have tales of their own.

DC sort of does this with the Justice Society, but going even further into the past would make for great content. Spiderman can totally do it. So can the X-Men, Hawkeye, Thor, etc. Villains can do it too. Have an ancient equivalent of Scarlet Witch for example.
@mattwo72 жыл бұрын
@@commonviewer2488 DC also has other multiversal stuff besides Earth-2/Earth 2/Earth-Two (the Golden Age universe, which of course is also where the concept of a DC Multiverse started), there's also stuff like Gotham by Gaslight (19th Century Batman vs Jack the Ripper), DC Bombshells (an alternate version of DC's WWII), Batman Ninja (Bat-family and a bunch of Gotham City villains (and Grodd) got isekai'd into Feudal Japan and their wardrobes and arsenals were adapted for the era, even Grodd's) and JLA: Age of Wonder (another 19th century Elseworlds story).

Wakanda in every new run Marvel releases always looks the same and at the same time new. Same for T'Challa. I feel that the stories Marvel tells with Black Panther are deep and grounded and some might be a bit...much. Thanks for covering Black Panther, Comic Drake! I joined you about two years ago when you had the old intro. I got a suggestion for a video idea: DC vs. Vampires. It's wild with the issues that were going on.
@nickperoncomedy2 жыл бұрын
The part where Killmonger gets a pass at being the new Black Panther by T'Challa was because around that time he was suffering from a brain anurysem and met his future self who was dying because of it. It was a whole plot line involving King Solomon's Frogs. That whole thing is covered around issue 40ish of the 3rd volume of BP. It was resolved and seldom spoke of again. Easy ro miss.
@jtverland72242 жыл бұрын

@ComicDrake2 жыл бұрын
Right, the whole bit where future T'Challa was absurdly happy go lucky. I guess I didn't put together that that's why he was being so moody. I know he spent so much of his time in New York during that run, but it just still feels like a departure for the character to not care about his role as chieftain back home and handed it over to a literal mass murderer.
