It's amazing how many of these bounce of the receivers hands. Mac has either some of the most unluckiest interceptions ever or some of the most why the fuck are you throwing, no in between. I defended him for so long before this, especially considering a lot of the interceptions were on other players with ball ricocheting, but a certain point you can't defend any of the pics he's made, they just keep getting worse and worse and it's due to the fact that's no confidence left what so ever in him. Mac never really had to face adversity like this in life before and he's just not responding well at all.

It's bad. Real bad. However, 6:10 is a sure touchdown for a high school QB. The first read is wide open from 20 yards away with plenty of end zone room and Mac underthrows him by about 7 yards with zero pressure in his face. He panicked at the sight of a defender, throws off his back foot for no reason, and puts an absolute floating duck right into the defender's chest. A touchdown that turns into a pick off an awful throw, with a bad read, bad footwork, and minimal defensive pressure that could have even been lessened further by altering the protection a bit (what the RB does here isn't very productive)--just failure in all areas from the QB spot.

A lot of these deflected passes are from poor ball placement or throwing to receiver who's well covered or both (not putting all the blame on him. His receivers needed to make a play). The pick from 1/15/22 against Buffalo (38 seconds) is a textbook example of what im talking about. #85 is well covered by a defender who has inside leverage and can easily make a play on the ball while #16 is wide open by the sideline. He opts for the risky throw and the defender immediately makes the play. #85 never had a chance.

Offensive line fails to protect in the first few seconds (unless it's an obvious all-out blitz). C. Desperation throws on 4th down or in the final seconds. D. Risky throws while down by multiple scores and only a few possessions left. E. Bad weather/Defender makes an amazing play. F. Bad throws while ahead or down by one score. By that system, I'd give the interceptions in this video 8 As, 3 Bs, 3 Cs, 4 Ds, 2 Es and 16 Fs.

The fact that he’s only started for 3 years and he already has 7 minutes and 47 seconds worth of interceptions is alarming.

Remember whe he looked like the best 1st Round 2021 QB? Life comes at you fast.

Seeing the Patriots franchise crumble is poetry. *Chef’s kiss*

Not really poetry, more like inevitable.

The first few mins really put into perspective that not all interceptions are the QBs fault, but a 8 MIN VIDEO IS SOOO SAD FOR A 3 YEAR QB LMAO

Look I´m not Patriots fan at all and I don´t like Bellichick and that whole franchise, but I feel sorry for Mac Jones. Is it really necessary to make a Video like that? Maybe he´s just not ready to be a starter yet, maybe he just needs a year or two as a backup somewhere else?
@BeantownSportsHub11 ай бұрын
Yeah I feel bad for him too, this was definitely his childhood dream and now it’s slipping away from him. With a few years as any teams backup QB there’s a chance he’ll improve and get more time on the field someday. Thanks for the comment though, your empathetic opinion needs to be heard more often! (I’m also working on gathering the clips for every Mac Jones running-play, which is a more positive perspective on Mac)

Seriously? He's a grown man that gets paid a lot of money to throw the ball to his team. He sucks at it.
@bobishumin485311 ай бұрын
@@jodyfoster9278part of it is that he has had a new offensive coordinator each year and it shows, when he gets pressured he panics and tries to throw the ball up instead of taking sacks or throwing it away to the sideline
@jodyfoster927811 ай бұрын
@@bobishumin4853 Listen Edlemans comments about him having different coordinators, he said that McDaniel and Obrien's offense is almost identical, and Patricia's offense was basically the same thing. But if you watch the video you'll notice the biggest thing is that Jones throws picks regardless of who the OC is.
