I know LOTR MTG came out in 2023, but I'd love to know where you would rank it comparatively! I agree that the Bloomburrow were some of the best cards I saw you open this year.

LMAO - Criteria was how impactful the launch felt to the community (from my perspective), how good the art was, how impactful the cards felt to the meta (though I only play commander so this weighting is pretty small for me) with some consideration given to the products in each launch and their reception. Would love to see how your tierlist comes out!

​@@MoreDrongo-n6rIt'd depend on the way I look at it, precon wise Fallout and Dusk were really great, MH3 and foundations set wise were huge. Bloomburrow felt like it hasn't done much since but is great to draft, otj was all round eh, mkm gave surveil lands and some of my favourite commanders this year but was a weak set overall... So many ways to look at it

Ranking MH3 this low is actually criminal but otherwise a fairly solid list I would say. My fav this year was Foundations!

I like the placement of Bloomburrow at the top 😂 I mean to me at least Bloomburrow feels like the easiest set to understand for new players because rabbits go with rabbits. Or squirrels go with squirrels. And creatures like Ygra the lynx shouldn’t exist because there’s no other lynxes 😠😅

Yeah, Bloomburrow is definately a very approachable set which is why I think it did well at bringing lots of new people into the hobby. I also really like all the Offspring mechanic along with a bunch of grouphug cards which make for some really fun commander decks. (also lmao at the Ygra comment). What was your favorite set of the year?

@@MoreDrongo-n6r for the reasons that it’s easiest for me to attract my friends to the game, I feel like Bloomburrow is my favourite set of the year. Also, I haven’t touched the other sets. My easiest way to understand a set is through a prerelease event at my lgs but I haven’t been to every set’s prerelease. Even then, duskmourn seems like a cool set. I’m pretty upset with the value of MH3 because everything good (of value) has been banned and therefore the boosters should be cheaper but aren’t. I don’t know much about the other sets.
