The die-cast and quality of SOC + size and articulation of ZAP would be the perfect zord. I know people rag on it but I like the ZAP more than the original and the 2010/legacy. I'm really excited for in space, and I hope it does well enough to get more.

I love the 2010 megazord. It was at that perfect time in my life when i wanted to get megazord because all the 90's toys were either poor condition or too expensive. And man what an amazing start of a Renaissance to get ready for the Legacy releases!

Fairly interesting list. I'm glad I got to play with the ZAP megazord at Morphicon to try before maybe buying. I'm glad I passed on it's full price. I remember buying 2 2010 megazords at Target cuz my brother told me to keep one sealed and the other to open. I ended up selling both for $80. 1993 Megazord was received in a trade as my friend wanted the Revoltech Himura Kenshin from Samurai X. Soul Of Chogokin Megazord and Dragonzord was sold to me for $300, which imo is an incredible deal. To this day, SOC and 1993 are the only ones I have left. Probably will hold onto then for a long while lol. Your video was pretty fun to watch in terms of rankings.

The Hasboro budget one looks far far better if you get the decal kit for it , it actually looks really good and accurate with the decal kit

The Soul of Chogokin release is stupidly expensive, but you can at least justify the ultra premium price, the thing it's bulky and heavy; it feels like a premium item, unlike the ZAP release. Still, IF I ever find the ZAP one for under a $100, I'd buy it, it still looks cool.

Yeah no the soc megazord wasn't for me, heavy, unposable and at a ridiculous price, to me the zap does it right, plus you can actually articulate it and pose it easily. I don't know why people think heavy plastic, heavy price but completely disregard the part count, paint, engineering, features make items lean towards a premium (albeit smaller) price and that's why I like zap

2020 I started trying to collect the main megazord from each line MMPR-current Sentai. I've done that but until ZAP came out I just had the Hasbro cheap one with some BD-15 stickers on it. I thought it was great and sat nicely on the display with the other mecha.

Here’s my opinion any of the ORIGINAL Megazords haven’t aged well. Because 1. They were clunky and barely had any movement 2. Finding them with stickers, finding them all pieces/accessories or finding them in good condition is Impossible and 3. The original megazords CIB are double what the zap costs. Also whenever you do manage to find them for cheaper they’ll either be missing accessories or broken

ZAP doesn't feel cheaper than Dino Charge BoA Megazord. That was a very hot take. If you compare DC one to how it is supposed to look, turns out that it has almost no paint. Also it is a brick. It can't do poses. Also it came out like 7 years ago - inflation exists. And you can't find it for 25 nowadays anyways. ZAP is the most poseable one, beating even SoC at some points. It is completly painted, almost like SoC. It's a lot cheaper than SoC, even if we compare starter prices. It has 40 dollars discounts like every 2 months if you wanna go cheaper. Yes, die-cast feels cool, but it is also killing the joints of SoC after some time. And you can easy scratch it, so that makes you being afraid as hell for even touching your SoC. ZAP being light is actually a plus. You can put it on the glass shelf with no fear at all. And it allows ZAP to be stable and poseable at the same time while combining. ZAP is extremely underrated.

I own 2010 (in a not-so-good condition), Legacy, and 2020. I would only get ZAP Megazord if it's discounted to the price of a Commander Class Transformer.

Just outta curiosity, do you have the one from the 2017 movie? For a time, that was a mainline toy, alongside Ninja Steel...and possibly *_the worst_* in quality. At least, I've heard nothing positive about it. The 2010 mold may not be everyone's cup of cocoa - especially since a Dragonzord to go with it never happened until the Legacy Collection line, which was a huge "go smurf yourself" to everyone who bought the 2010 version and didn't want the Legacy Collection version - but it did start the entire Zordbuilder System where you had cross-compatibility across seasons. I do wish some older Megazords had gotten Zordbuilder remakes, like the Chogokin types that had compatible arm connectors (SPD, Wildforce, etc.)... Example 1.: So you could do a MUCH better Shinken Gokaioh/Samurai Legendary Megazord by either sticking the Legendary Megazord arms & legs onto the Samurai Megazord's Lion, or sticking the Samurai Megazord arms & legs onto the...I think they called the Gokai Galleon the Megaship or something. Example 2.: Since the MMPR 2010 line introduced cross-compatibility with the usually crappy bikes...there was one bike I did regret not gettin': I think it was a Sabertooth Tiger themed one that in arm mode became a BUZZSAW. Now, I'm not entirely sure, but I don't think anything in the Zordbuilder System had a critter with a buzzsaw for a limb. Just imagine something like the Dinocharge Megazord or Ninja Steel Megazord rockin' a buzzsaw arm...

Zap did come with its many flaws and I don't think it was worth it for the price it was sold at. For example. Mine came with a lot of overspray and white marks on some of the plastic parts. But it looks great transformed

Personally, I think the SMP is the best version. Yeah, it's not the greatest for the individual dinos, but the thing looks so nice when put together and as actual articulation while being about 6inches tall, so he can fight all of the monsters Hasbro released in the LC. The worst for me is the SOC one. The sculpt and paintwork is down right excellent, but he can barely hold pose due to how loose his joints are thanks to their weight. Additionally, one of the Ms on the mammoth popped off and had to be glued on, which is bullshit. I expected more from a $300 toy, especially when the fandom told me SOCs are the be all, end all of mech toys. I have no interest in the ZAP, but the 2010 version was at least worth the $20.

Honestly, I think my favorite version of the Megazord is the MiniPla edition. Combinable, has articulation, and don't need a loan to afford it. EDIT: In terms of specifically American ones, I kinda have to put the ZAP on top, even if it is overpriced. I dislike the 2010/Legacy mold a LOT, the 90's one has some weird sticker changes, and the cheap Hasbro one is fine, but unremarkable.

I almost forgot, the 90's one is up there simply because the Saber-Toothed Tiger Zord actually has functioning wheels, along with some wheels for the Triceratops Zord. None of the other American releases have that.

I have the original 90's one and the cheap one that is in the bottom of this list. The original is great but the cheap is very good actually for display or for a gift. All the set costs about 50€

I say they reissue all the original Mecha molds like how we get reissues of G1 Transformers every few years. To be honest that's really all want & I don't care about any of the new stuff other than the SOC. That's the only version I feel that does Daizyujin any type of justice.

I got the OG(fair condition). 2010 version(Needs new stickers tho) And the SOC...... After I bought the SOC, I felt I NEVER needed another MMPR Megazord in that scale ever again. ZAP isn't worth the price. It's a bootleg SOC, IMO. However If anyone just NEEDS a Megazord, that's the best option. But for me, the SOC IS THE definitive version in that scale. I'm sorry for those who missed out on the retail price of that Thing of Beauty 😍😍😍

Tbh, I do not understand the hype for the Legacy Megazord. It was the least Legacy feeling Megazord of the line. ZAP is pretty bad though. The weird patterns and stylized look ruins it for me.

@@JohnDoe-wl5xm it is not on model. It is stylized. There are hollow limbs on the sabertooth tiger. The trunk on the Mastodon doesn't actually articulate, just swivels. The paint jobs I've seen have been pretty bad. Trex's sculpt is way off. They messed up the engineering in the tail so, while it separates to allow for waist swivel, it isn't high enough for proper clearance. ZAP megazord is not great. SoC is the best Megazord one can buy, hands down. At least for a combinable Megazord. Personally, I don't need a Megazord that combines. I'm just displaying it on a shelf in a pose. So, my Megazord of choice is the one coming from Super7.

My super unpopular opinion is that pretty much every figure we've seen sell for more than $250 has been overpriced, Soul of Chogokin included. Just my opinion, but I still view al the Legacy stuff as the king of all releases because at least the initial retail prices were pretty fair.

You're never getting a full combiner Megazord for $20. Proper Transformers toys go for $20, and many of the slightly bigger ones go for $40-$50. It is a decent option if you are getting it for a kid or to be used in playtime rather than sit on a shelf forever.

@@checob224 Considering the price of toys nowadays, $50 is pretty standard for five transforming and combining toys. Keep in mind that Kingdom Megatron is also $50. Also, just checked on Amazon, it's actually $45, with a Like New for $38. And again, you are NEVER going to get a full combiner Megazord of decent size for $20. Not under Hasbro, not under Bandai, not under anyone else. That is less than your garden variety Transformers figure nowadays.

Soc is an overpriced brick. I had it, it was pretty but that was it, way too expensive. Zap for all it's paint, articulation, features and size makes the price worth it. Bandai of America zords was trash, bricks, missing details. And would probably be a higher price nowadays due to inflation. Legacy was weighed down with diecast , just a more expensive retool of the 2010 which is a complete rip off. Stickers? Really? People crap on zap but I'm impressed by it, I collect masterpiece transformers i know premium, but again for its size, features, paint, articulation zap is fantastic for the price. People want something for nothing

This rank is all nostalgia. If you check the price of the old legacy compared to Hasbro's with inflation you can see they cost almost the same.($100 vs $130) not to mention Hasbro's is a very big improvement, size, articulation, paint no stickers. all the extra gimmicks, all the extra transformations to make it more accurate. Don't know if you got a defective one or something cuz mine doesn't feel cheap at all. Also you compare it to Ninja Steel quality.... which didn't cost $25 and the quality is waaaay better on Hasbro's. that I think the old 2010's was good for that price but I mean... c'mon... stickers like we were in the 90's? not mention they all are bricks. and yes the soul of chogoking is obviously the most expensive and also the best quality, sadly you not gonna pay less than $600 for that. I think overall you were just were just let down by your own expectations and nostalgia.
