Tl;dr, Valve cut down on the innates that were just 'Hero has one of their spells automatically leveled up at lvl 1'; must've just been a placeholder thing the facets for quite a few heroes are still just 'one awful one you'd never use' and 'one that's basically the same way you'd play the hero that you have to pick becsuse the other facet is worse!' RP facet on magnus, chronosphere facet on void, rage facet on naix, etc etc it's nice that valve are at least making adjustments to make this system better and better like with talents, though; hopefully with time and refinement they'll come into their own

Yeah I hated the extra level ability inates... The extra level was just so bad that u need to level it up to be decent and it caps out at the same spell power... Felt like as soon as they hit lvl 2 or maybe some more lvls after they practically don't have an inate anymore... I'm glad they replaced it with better more functional ones

100% this, some "level zero" skills were unbeliavably bad (veno and underlord come to Mind) The only good one was weavers geminate +shukuchi at lvl1 ​@@levisamom5069

Weaver was nice with one free germinate atk was nice and void new ult is cool for some combos, but yes, the facets "basically the same way you'd play the hero" are rly bad. Some heroes rly need something.

Important to note: Bristleback got a facet that isn't just a nerf to the hero. This facet is weird enough it's hard to say exactly how good it is without a fair bit of playtime, but on paper it seems like it might be pretty strong, and going from facets that nerf the hero to even a situationally decent facet is a big buff.

Very unfortunate changes to Medusa she is significantly worse now that mystic snake is a longer cooldown doesn’t slow and reduce turn rate but hey at lease she has a dogshit root that is impossible to land and does zero damage. Rip to my my favorite hero

Philo was Busted, you could keep It in bag and swap to It while dead to gain gold. The shovel swap also got fixed, was super powerful but demanded a Lot of effort
