Can we talk about Locus's wins so far? He's beaten, Saj, 9B, Tweek, Mr R, Ally, Samsora, Shuton AND Nairo. I know a lot of people have been doubting that he deserved his spot in the PGR last season, but he's really proven himself. And I think he was also in top 32 at one of the other sagas other than ZeRo saga and Civil war, not sure who he beat there.

That's what I'm saying. Upsets are always hype, and it's not like they're so common in Smash 4 that literally anyone can pull one out. Zero's placing this weekend was absolutely unprecedented, and no one who follows Smash 4 would have ever seen it coming. FWIW I like watching and playing both games. I appreciate Melee for its high skill ceiling and fluid movement, but I also appreciate Smash 4 for its larger variety of characters and the fact that I don't have to murder my hands to feel like I'm kind of competent at it. It really bugs me to see people being so negative and salty about either game.

Best Link was contested between him and Scizor, with T taking sets regularly off of top Japanese players, like Aba, Ramai, Some, Pichi, Umeki, etc. But scizor plays just as good. After civil war, though, T is undoubtably the best Link, atm.

+JuSaKuO Unfortunately, players like T are highly skilled, but since they don't travel much, they don't get recognized very often. Its honestly probably one of the reasons he didn't make it into the top 50 PGR rankings, even though he probably had, and still has the skill to easily be a top 50 player. +PhilTousi the nature of an upset is that top players lose to lower tiered/ unexpected players. Zero lost to Luhtie, who honestly was not even on the pgr. Would you laugh at Zero? No, because that's an upset and it happens to a lot of players. Dabuz is consistent and that is fact. Edit: Also Fatality was unstoppable in this tournament, taking out Nairo and Kirihira(another Rosalina player who is really good). I think Dabuz deserves some credit for being able to knock out fatality.

Grant the Dragon that may be true, however ZeRo lost to xzax, an actually good fox main. I'm pretty sure fox/diddy is 50/50 so his loss is actaully undestandable. Luhtie is another story, however. Maybe we can put that on the nerves. On the other hand, dabuz had like, 1 or 2 mu that were close. MVD and Zack. Both could have pulled off an upset, and Zack almost did, but they didn't. So gg to dabuz for that. I am not saying dabuz is not consistent, I'm not saying he's bad. But I do think he could have had a harder bracket. Dabuz is and will always be a god of smash 4, I am not denying that.

The most hype aspect of this Tournament was not just that so many Low/Mid-tier mains made it into Top 32 and even Top 8, but that they absolutely MURKED so many high ranking PGR players! I was so stoked watching this Tournament! I do have to say, even though I respect how hard Dabuz worked toward winning, I'm sad Fatality lost to him, considering he beat so many top threats, including Nairo, Kirihara, so many in bracket, and even T, who defeated him in Winners, went on to 3-0 him in Losers Finals!! I really hope Fatality keeps up this amazing hard work, I would love to see him win a large event like this!
